COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - One man is recovering in a hospital after being injured in Miller Canyon.

At least 20 rescuers from the Cochise County Sheriff's Office and US Border Patrol assisted in the rescue. 12 of the rescuers were volunteers with the Cochise County Sheriff's Office search and rescue team. A Customs & Border Protection blackhawk helicopter was also used in the rescue effort.

Paramedics transported the man, identified as an 30 year-old illegal immigrant to an area hospital where he is recovering from hypothermia and dehydration. Authorities say he was awaiting rescue for over a day.
