CBP Officers at South Texas Ports of Entry Arrest Eight Wanted Fugitives

Hidalgo, Texas— U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at south Texas ports of entry between Roma and Pharr arrested eight persons wanted on outstanding federal and state warrants.

During the week of October 24, CBP officers working at the Hidalgo/Pharr International Bridges arrested two United State citizen males from McAllen: Javier Ancer, 31, wanted on weapons purchase violations, and Justin Green, 33, wanted on outstanding federal warrants for failure to appear. Ancer was released to the custody of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) agents and Green to the U.S. Marshals Service. Two other males, Miguel Ruiz, 61, a U.S. citizen from Pharr, was wanted for distribution of narcotics, and Gregorio Lopez Gamez, 53, a Mexican national legal resident from Edinburg, was wanted for probation violation. Ruiz was released to the custody of the Hidalgo Police Department and Gamez to the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office.

Also this week, CBP officers at the Roma/Miguel Aleman International Bridge arrested Ricardo Rios Tanguma, 23, a United States citizen from Roma, Texas, on an active state warrant for assault, evading and resisting arrest. He was released to the custody of the Roma Police Department.

Lastly, CBP officers at the Rio Grande City/Camargo International Bridge arrested three United State citizen females: Adriana Garza, 24, Arisbe Zepeda, 27, from Rio Grande City, both wanted for traffic violations, and Jessica Chavez, 24, from Sullivan City, wanted for assault by threat. Garza and Zepeda were turned over to the custody of the Rio Grande City Police Department and Chavez to the Roma Police Department.
