Restoring prenatal services fails
By Martha Stoddard
LINCOLN - Opposition from the governor and the erosion of votes in the Legislature have defeated a last-gasp effort to restore prenatal services to about 1,600 low-income women, including about 870 illegal immigrants.

Out of the 1,600 low-income, fully half of them are illegal. And we are still wondering if illegals hurt us? Expand that to the whole country and the answer is yes. Arizona is waking up and doing something about it since Janet destroyed what little law enforcement Sheriff Joe was able to do. Now we are back at trying to pass laws to do something about this.
So, 800 low-income women are suffering in NE because of this. Imagine Obamacare and their decision to not include verbiage to omit illegals. We will have them flying in from all over the world with health issues. Even England is having to put a stop to immigrants without health insurance.
When are we going to wake up?

Advocates of restoring the care maintain that it makes fiscal sense to ensure that these babies are born healthy and contend that charities cannot afford to pick up the tab.
Its no wonder these people have that "Entitlement mentality" when our lawmakers are lining up to give our hard earned tax dollars away.Illegal, or unlawful, is used to describe something that is prohibited or not authorized by law

Stopping prenatal care and reporting/deporting illegals who show up to birth at county hospitals would save this country billions. Attrition through enforcement, not just for employed illegals but unemployed ones too!

Why is it that abortion advocates applaud choice when an AMERICAN woman chooses abortion, but it's a travesty when an illegal alien has one?
This proves that illegals will slow down the babymaking if they have to PAY for it themselves. Stop giving our tax $$$ away to and for illegal aliens!!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Immigration concerns trump abortion worry

LINCOLN (AP) — Opposition to taxpayer benefits for illegal immigrants appears to have trumped anti-abortion sentiments in Nebraska, likely ending an unusual collision of the two explosive political issues.
After meeting with Gov. Dave Heineman Wednesday night, a lawmaker said the governor opposed a compromise that would continue providing state-funded prenatal care to illegal immigrants in Nebraska. Supporters of the compromise — which included the use of money from private donors — said they don’t have enough votes this year to override a Heineman veto and may not have had the votes even without the governor’s outright opposition.
