NACO, Ariz. -- A California man is in custody after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found liquid meth in his truck's washer fluid container.

Agency spokesman Chris Leon says officers at the Naco port of entry in southeastern Arizona were performing anti-terrorism and anti-smuggling operations Wednesday when they decided to conduct a routine inspection of a 55-year-old man's pickup truck.

Officers found that the truck's washer fluid container had more than 13 pounds of a liquid form of methamphetamines with a street value of nearly $1 million.

The man was trying to enter Arizona from Mexico.

The man was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for further investigation.
