Immigrant Found Shot in the Heart

HOUSTON - Homicide detectives are searching for a killer in the shooting of a Mexican national whose body was found in northwest Houston.
Officers arrived around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to Hempstead Highway near Lumberdale Road in response to a reported shooting. They found the body of a male who was shot in the heart.
Witnesses told police the shooting victim has no relatives who live in the U.S. and that he was from the western state of Guerrero in Mexico.
The victim had been arguing earlier on Wednesday with a male who wore a white t-shirt. A black male was seen taking the bicycle and belongings of the victim.
Houston police is encouraging anyone with information about the shooting to contact the homicide division by phone at 713-308-3600.
