Campus went into lockdown

MISSION - An elementary school went into lockdown, after a group of illegals ran into a nearby neighborhood.

It started when a Border Patrol agent noticed suspicious activity near the river. The agent followed a van into a Mission neighborhood near Pearson Elementary.

Students were in class for summer school at the time. Mission police and school officials put the campus into lockdown as a precaution.

The 16 illegals in the van ran into the neighborhood and even went into nearby homes. Border Patrol agents eventually took them all into custody.

The elementary school's lockdown was lifted after about 10 minutes.
