Staff writer Zain Haidar reports: Four men have been arrested after police say they kidnapped and robbed a man at gunpoint Sunday afternoon.

Four men approached Juan Landin, 39, in the 8200 block of Spring Valley Road in Far North Dallas around 2:20 p.m. They said, “Angel, you owe us money. Where is it at?” according to a police report.

The suspects forced Landin into a car at gunpoint and drove him to an ATM to withdraw money. They demanded more money, and Landin told them all he had was the title to his vehicle. When they met Landin’s friend to get the title, Landin tried to jump out of the back window of the car they were in, according to the report.

The witness followed the suspects’ vehicle and called police. Police stopped the suspects in the 3600 block of Fort Worth Avenue in West Oak Cliff. Officers also found gun reported stolen in Wylie in the suspects’ car, according to police reports.

Landin suffered minor injuries when he was struck with a gun, police said.

Leonardo Cariaga, 29; Gael Villegas, 20; and Gustavo Leonhernandez, 20, were charged with aggravated kidnapping. They all remain in the Dallas County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail for the kidnapping.

Leonhernandez and Cariaga have also been placed on an immigration hold. Villegas was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Juan Valenzuela, 23, was charged with aggravated kidnapping and manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. He remains in jailed in lieu of $200,000.
