TX - Undocumented Immigrants Found In Stash House

CORPUS CHRISTI - More than twenty suspected illegal immigrants were detained overnight from a stash house on Lawton Street.

Police say it all started when they made two separate traffic stops on Wednesday. The three people detained in the stops told officers they were staying at the home on Lawton.

Border Patrol and Corpus Christi PD decided to team up for a closer look at the home. They simply knocked on the door to find out what was going on.

It came as a shock to find more than a dozen people living in the house. All 21 people were turned over to the Border Patrol.

A CCPD lieutenant told us he can't remember finding this many undocumented immigrants, all in one place, in a really long time.
