U.S. Border Patrol Agents Arrest Sex Offender

Blythe, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents from Yuma arrested a known sex offender Friday afternoon.

The man, Francisco Hernandez-Ortega, was arrested during a traffic stop by Border Patrol agents assigned to the Blythe Station for being illegally in the U.S. During processing, agents learned that Hernandez had been previously deported from the United States. Criminal records checks also revealed that Hernandez had convictions for sexual intercourse with a minor.

Hernandez is being processed to re-instate his previous deportation and presented for prosecution.
