Arizona Dem Lawmakers Say LatAm Nations 'Meddling'

PHOENIX - Some Arizona Democratic legislators find themselves in rare agreement with Republican Gov. Jan Brewer on a question related to the state's controversial law targeting illegal immigration.

Brewer criticized a federal appeals court's ruling allowing 11 Latin American countries to file a brief supporting a judge's ruling blocking implementation of key provisions of the law. Brewer said she was offended that foreign governments were meddling in a domestic legal dispute.

Now 10 Democratic state representatives are criticizing the Latin American countries for weighing in with the court. They issued a statement that said the countries "are meddling" in U.S. affairs. They added that it's a problem for the United States and Arizona to work toward a solution.

We must not take into account what Latin American nations think about our immigration laws. What we Americans want to do is to stop illegal immigration just like Latin American nations do. They do not allow illegal immigration. We must never grant amnesty to illegals, lawbreakers. Deport all illegals now.
