U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seize more than 900 rounds of ammunition hidden inside several boxes of diapers on their way to Mexico. It happened yesterday morning at the Lincoln-Juarez bridge. A CBP officer referred a taxicab to secondary inspection.

The passenger was a 20 year old Laredoan who was in the possesion of the diaper boxes. Inside officers found 911 rounds of ammo. The man was arrested and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. I.C.E. agents also took the ammunition into evidence. The case is still under investigation.

In a separate incident, CBP officers also confiscated more than a pound of heroin at The Gateway to the America's Bridge. Two women were arrested trying to transport the drug into the U.S. Both of them from San Antonio.

The women were trying to smuggle the heroin underneath their clothing as they walked across bridge number one on Monday. The pound and a half of heroin has an estimated street value of $150,000. The case has been handed over to I.C.E. investigators.
