This is certainly not the "greatest wave of immigration in our history"...it is THE GREATEST, CATASTROPHIC ILLEGAL INVASION AND COUP BY MARXIST GOVERNMENTS OF MEXICO AND CENTRAL AMERICA! And to add insult to injury, this comment is from the Chief of US Citizenship and Immigration Services...ALPHONSO AGUILAR! Why in hades does the US allow a Mexican to head up US Citizenship and Immigration Services????

The only ones who will have to "assimilate" are Americans...we are now the minority, and our children and grandchildren MUST learn to speak fluent Spanish in order to survive the future in the former USA. This is the legacy of the 21st century Benedict Arnold...George W. Bush...the biggest traitor this country has ever known!

That's a growth of almost 4 million people in a little over one year - notwithstanding that our births ~= deaths; eg. the increase is due almost exclusively to.... immigration (legal and illegal). Keep in mind also, that more people enter or remain in the US illegally now than they do legally.

I couldn't agree more. I guess we have to stop thinking logically, and maybe all of this would make more "sense" (and make it easier to get through the day.)

The failure to enforce immigration laws, secure our borders, and give a rats a-- about legal American citizen rights, all point to NAFTA/NAU. They're just stalling, until the new administration can get an amnesty bill passed, then, we can all become one big happy family !

Well...let's look at the bright side! Mexico only has around 60M illiterate, unskilled, poverty stricken peasants left (after exporting at least 25M during the past few years)! And the population of Salvador and Guatamala is much smaller than Mexico! Statistically speaking, there are only around 100M more third worlders left to ship to the US from Mexico and Central America! At the rate of 4M per year, we should be completely THIRD WORLD somewhere around 2030! We won't be able to include the anchor babies since they will, of course, be first class "citizens"! This third world population transfer will be complete in no time!
