Boehner: Appears Border Crisis 'Going to Continue'

WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Speaker John Boehner said he has formed the congressional working group to look at the flood of unaccompanied minors crossing into the United States illegally to get a better understanding of the crisis amid concerns that it will continue.

“It just seems to me that given the magnitude of this crisis and the fact that it appears it’s going to continue that we ought to get a better handle on it,” he said Wednesday.

Tuesday Boehner announced that Texas Republican Rep Kay Granger would lead the working group, consisting of Rep. John Carter (R-TX), Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX), Rep. Mike McCaul (R-TX), Rep. Steve Pearce (R-NM), and Rep. Matt Salmon (R-AZ).

According to the Speaker, the individuals selected for the group “are uniquely qualified to understand what’s happening down there.”

Boehner explained that he hopes the group will return the week after the 4th of July with some suggestions and information “to help our members understand what the facts are, as opposed to some of the fiction, to suggest to the administration things that we think can be done or should be done and, if necessary make suggestions to our members about changes to the law that might need to occur.”

The Speaker also confirmed that he is planning a lawsuit over Obama’s executive actions.

“This is about defending the institution in which we serve. You know if you look back over the last 235 years of our history, there has been a movement between the inherent powers of the executive branch versus the inherent powers of the legislative branch,” Boehner said. “And what we’ve seen, clearly over the last five years, is an effort to erode the power of the legislative branch. I believe the president is not faithfully executing the laws of our country and on behalf of the institution and our Constitution standing up and fighting for this is in the best long-term interest of the Congress."

He added that he has yet to decide over which executive actions to sue the president.

“When I make that decision I’ll let you know,” he said.

Oh really, Boehner, is that all you've got to say on this? Pathetic. What good is Republican control of the US House of Representatives when you do nothing but soft-peddle every gawd damn crisis that occurs in this country? A lawsuit over some unnamed executive orders? Oh puleeze. This isn't the problem. The problem is a federal government of which you are a key leader that has run itself into a rat hole because you all kissed the wrong tail and sucked the wrong .... well, you get the idea.

There is one encouraging thing that Boehner keeps proving, if he is the best that the parry has, the party is going fast.

Obama and Boehner, simultaneously killing off their respective parties! American politics cannot get better than that, at least not at this time in history!
