Ten Arrested by Illegal Alien Enforcement Unit in Bay County

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office Illegal Alien Enforcement Unit and the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of the Resident Agent in Charge/ Panama City (RAC/PC) conducted an I-9 outreach at Construction Enterprises, Inc located at the Waterside Apartments of Jenks Avenue construction site in Panama City, Florida, today, March 19, 2009. During an I-9 outreach, employers are presented with forms they are required to fill out on each employee confirming they are US citizens and eligible for employment. This site had been previously visited by Bay County Sheriff’s Office Deputies after receiving citizen complaints about the possibility of undocumented workers employed at the site. During the initial visit approximately 20-30 individuals fled the scene.

Today Bay County Sheriff’s Office Illegal Alien Task Enforcement Unit returned and attempted to present the M274, I-9 Employers handbook to the Superintendent on that site. Upon arrival, several foreign nationals fled the scene. BCSO Illegal Alien Enforcement Unit and Special Agents were able to detain some of the workers at which time it was determined that they were in the United States contrary to Immigration Laws. Ultimately, eight illegal aliens working on the site were arrested:

LEOBEL MAZARLEGO, DOB 11/20/1986, of 7241 Coe Rd, Panama City, Florida, a native of Mexico, was arrested for Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information and a Hold for I.C.E. was placed on him. It was also discovered that Mazarlego had a warrant for Violation of Probation–DUI and Driving with no Valid Driver’s License

ALVARO MENDEZ, DOB 11/02/1981, of 2507 Drummond Avenue, Panama City, Florida, a native of Honduras, was booked into the Bay County Jail with a Hold for I.C.E.

ELVIN GIOVANNY CHIRINOS-ALVARADO, DOB 12/02/1980 of 2507 Drummond Avenue, Panama City, Florida, a native of Honduras, was booked into the Bay County Jail on a charge of No Valid Driver License and a Hold for I.C.E. was placed on him.

MARVIN OSMAN-FUENTES 10/03/1983 of 7241 Coe Rd, Panama City, Florida, a native of Honduras, was booked into the Bay County Jail with a Hold for I.C.E.

BAIRON EDGARDO SORIANO-HERNANDEZ , DOB 04/30/1990, of 2507 Drummond Avenue, Panama City, Florida, a native of Honduras, was booked into the Bay County Jail with a Hold for I.C.E.

RONI SAUL-ANDINO, DOB 03/15/1987, of 7241 Coe Rd, Panama City, Florida, a native of Honduras, was booked into the Bay County Jail with a Hold for I.C.E.

JUAN RAMON CHIRINOS aka CARLOS JOSE MENBRENO, DOB 01/07/1976, of 2507 Drummond Avenue, Panama City, Florida, a native of Honduras, was booked into the Bay County Jail with a Hold for I.C.E.

MARVIN ESPINAR 02/16/1989 of 2507 Drummond Avenue, Panama City, Florida, a native of Honduras, was booked into the Bay County Jail with a Hold for I.C.E.

In a separate incident this morning, members of the Bay County Sheriff’s Office patrol division and the Illegal Alien Enforcement Unit also arrested two other individuals who were going to a separate job site in the Bay County area. A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for speeding through a school zone in northern Bay County and the driver of the vehicle was found to not possess a driver license. Members of the Illegal Alien Enforcement Unit were summoned to the scene and determined that both the driver and his passenger were in the United States in violation of United States immigration laws. These two subjects were going to the Innovations Federal Credit Union currently under construction on Highway 77 in Lynn Haven.

HERVEL LAINEZ-COLINDREZ, DOB 09/29/1981, of 5117 Edgemore Drive, Norcross, Georgia, a native of Honduras, was booked into the Bay County Jail for No Valid Driver License and a Hold for I.C.E. was placed on him.

POMPILIO HERNANDEZ , DOB 04/27/1982, of 4188 Fontana Court, Tucker, Georgia, a native of Honduras, was booked into the Bay County Jail with a Hold for I.C.E.
