UNC- TV & Raleigh N&O Link

    http://forums.triangle.com/WebX?50@@.eee8ef0

We desperately need to make everyone aware that the "12 people started ALIPAC" is much more than just 12 people. Please vist the above Forum and also write letters to their Editor, and everyone else's, so they will know that we are not few in numbers.

In the Wilmington Star-News question of the day, over 90% of those responding said NO.

We need to make sure everyone knows that 90% is not just a "few loud mouthed people against this in-state tuition bill".

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We've got to get our voices heard!!!!!!!!!!

UNC- TV Legislative Week in Review Link

    http://www.unctv.org/legweek/

UNC TV Legislative Week in Review wants to know how North Carolinians feel about HB 1183. According to some of the guests on this show, America has a "Moral responsiblity to educate these illegal immigrants so they can become more productive, and higher tax-paying citizens".

It apprears there are only a "few" Americans who are against this "moral" initiative to help the children of illegal immigrants "who cannot help that their parents brought them here". It is not the "fault of the child that the parents brought them here and they should not be held accountable".

My question is why is it the fault of North Carolinians and where does it say that they will pay more taxes into our State if they get better paying jobs due to cheaper admission into our Colleges?

What about the children of Americans? Why should they be displaced in
their admission to allow space in College for an illegal immigrant child?

UNC TV needs to hear from us. Now.

good12me. Thanks for the address to UNC TV. I sent an e-mail. What might help to include in your e-mail are some unemployment figures for your area. Ours here in my county is very high yet we are swarming with illegal aliens. The claim that we need illegal aliens for work is not true!! There is an abundant work force throughout North Carolina with Americans ready, willing and able--AS THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FOR 150 YEARS--to perform whatever work is required.

You can find your area's unemployment statistics at www.ncesc.com. Go to labor market data and then click on unemployment rates. Then click on all areas by year, then click on Counties. Find yours and perhaps some neighboring counties that would make up the labor market area for your location. The claim that illegals are needed to perform work Americans won't do is simply a false claim and needs to be corrected immediately.

good12me-Sure will and thanks for the reply. Another idea folks is to e-mail your labor information to Jim Morrill with the Charlotte-Observer. They will be doing several reports he told me in an e-mail on this "complicated issue".

He can be e-mailed at: jmorrill@charlotteobserver.com. Public opinion in the Charlotte area is very important because it is our state's largest city and the home of one of the Speakers of the House of Representatives, Jim Black.

Fact: 64 counties in NC have unemployment rates of 5.9% or more with over 125,000 American Families signed up and waiting for a call for a job just in these 64 rural counties, representing over 64% of the geography of our state. In April 04, less than 1 year ago, there were only 42 counties that made this list. Based upon the figure from the Pew Hispanic Center, there ae 25,000 illegal aliens in our job market. If this is true, then every employer that hired an illegal alien had AT LEAST 5 American applicants to every job filled by an illegal alien. A 5:1 applicant to job ratio is an OUTSTANDING ratio demonstrating more than enough Americans available and willing and waiting for these job opportunities. Employers who hire illegal aliens do not advertise or follow EEO (Equal Oportunity Employer) guidelines, shut out the Americans from these opportunities, circumventing our American Laws that protect all Americans, and hired illegals instead of Americans.

Myth: The myth that hiring illegal aliens is necessary because there is not enough labor is just that....a MYTH. Furthermore, it is not true. It is a deception for lack of a better more polite term to describe it.

Let your General Assembly know that you and the people of North Carolina are standing up for the American Worker and the American Family that needs these jobs, desperately.
