Univision anchor Jorge Ramos gets tossed out of Donald Trump event

DUBUQUE, Iowa — Donald Trump sparred with Univision and Fusion anchor Jorge Ramos during a press conference on Tuesday, booting the journalist from his Iowa event before allowing him back in for a grilling on immigration issues.
“Go back to Univision,” Trump yelled at Ramos after the anchor tried to repeatedly toss questions to Trump.

Ramos in recent weeks has accused the Republican presidential candidate of “spreading hate” with his rhetoric on immigration.
In an interview with POLITICO last week, Ramos suggested he’d attempt to attend a Trump event, after Univision was told more than a month ago they would not be getting an interview with Trump.
“Yea of course,” Ramos said when asked if he would ever try to show up to a Trump event and ask him questions. “That’s always a possibility, of course. When that happens we’ll see how it goes.”
    It didn’t go well.
Security officers physically escorted Ramos out of the event Tuesday night, with Trump saying it wasn’t anything personal. “I don’t mind if he comes back,” Trump said, adding, “He is obviously a very emotional person.”

Ramos is considered one of the most influential Hispanic journalists, with hosting gigs on Univision and Fusion, alongside an outspoken presence on Twitter where he has called Trump’s immigration plan “wrong,” “absurd” and “impossible to achieve.” He, and Univision, have been one of the biggest targets of Trump’s wrath. Trump sued the network for $500 million after the Univision decided to drop Trump’s Miss Universe contest over the candidate’s comments about Mexican immigrants during his campaign launch. When Ramos tried, via handwritten letter, to invite Trump to sit down for an interview, Trump published the letter on his Instagram account, which included Ramos’ personal cellphone number. (The post has since been removed.)
In a statement, Fusion CEO and Univision head of news Isaac Lee said “We’d love for Mr. Trump to sit down for an in-depth interview with Jorge to talk about the specifics of his proposals.”
Ramos was allowed back in minutes later, and proceeded to pepper the loud-mouthed billionaire businessman with questions about his comments about “anchor babies,” his plans to build a giant wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, and Trump’s assertion that many Mexican immigrants are criminals.
Trump said he plans to deal with immigration problems “in a very humane fashion.”
“I have a bigger heart than you do,” Trump told Ramos.
While Ramos was gone, Trump said he would have been happy to take his questions. He also denied he was the one who had him removed.

“I didn’t escort him out. You have to talk to security, you’re asking me questions he just stands up and starts screaming,” Trump said. “Maybe he’s at fault also. Somebody walked him out. I don’t know where he is, I don’t mind if he comes back.”
Trump said “I would take his question in two seconds but he stood up and started screaming.”
Responding to Ramos’ questions, Trump said his solution to build a wall along the border is an easy one: “I’m a builder.”
He quickly grew exasperated again at Ramos’ questions.
“I can’t deal with this,” Trump said, and soon moved to other reporters’ questions.

I just saw this on CNN. Ramos looked like an angry little man. I'm surprised he didn't blow one of his neck veins-they were really noticeable. Trump handled Ramos calmly and professionally.

I didn't realize Ramos was so short.

Yes, Trump handled it very well, very Presidential.

Don't you know Ramos is just burning up that he can't get Trump on an interview for all the ratings? All that sponsor money, and he can't get it because Trump won't do the interview.

    Just tickles me pink.

Plus I think a lot of American Hispanics who watch Univision hungry for news on Trump will start turning their channels to other networks to get the Trump News.

You know, Trump just makes me happy for some reason. I google "Trump in the polls" and "Trump in the news" every day not only for the news but to be cheered up, because he gets it, it's like a breath of fresh air, and he always says something that makes me smile or laugh. I just prescribed it to a friend of mine who is very down about everything and I said start googling Trump every morning, I promise it will give you a lift and brighten your day.

Good job Trump. Ramos has been advocating for a free pass for his countrymen for too long.

Frankly, I was disappointed by Trump. I was hopeful that Jorge Ramos would be the first expelled by Trump with the message, "You may apply for re-admission after the '16 election!"

Well, back in 2008, Ramos decided to become a citizen and someone let him. It would interesting to know how he stayed in the country since 1983 when he came in on a student visa to attend an extension course at UCLA.
