Urban Black Communities and Illegal Immigration

The Black community is affected by Illegal Immigration.

The Hispanic community has replaced us as the largest minority group in the US. It is most important that we make our voices heard if we are to continue the struggles that have faced us in this country. It is up to each generation to pave new roads for the next. Have we been doing that? If we did, the politicians would not be pandering to the citizen family members of Illegals while effectively ignoring our needs and concerns.

Illegal Immigration affects us when jobs are taken away and lower wages created . Cheap illegal labor creates unfair conditions in the labor market. Business lobbyist say they can not fill these jobs but do not offer pay or benefits that would attract hard working Americans. Is it a free market society when job competition is undercut by illegal cheap labor? The Bush Administration in pandering to the Hispanic Vote and Special Interest Groups is leaving our borders unprotected despite an often overstated threat to National Security. If there is a credible threat, the ordinary citizens are not targeted as are the large corporations and government institutions. The politicians loose credibility in failing to protect themselves with secure borders.

Illegal Immigration drives up the housing costs. The cost of rent is driven up for all according to the law of supply and demand. Who is affected mostly by the flow of illegal drugs across the border? This flow of illicit drugs entices the poor in the urban areas to sell drugs to supplement their incomes. The drugs are marked up in price by the time it reaches their hands but all this contributes to a steady supply of Black males to the profitable and increasingly private prison industry. Drug crimes in the urban areas leads to falling property values which will then be seized, razed over and a corporate development company will benefit from cheap prices for land to build homes which the displaced people can hardly afford.

Illegal Immigration takes away from our schools. Urban districts are under funded compared to suburban districts. Overcrowding in suburbia is causing more money to be spent to expand even if there are empty seats in the poorly maintained and technological deficient urban schools. The suburbanites don't want their children going to these schools to fill these empty seats. They don't care if those schools are left in disrepair or lack new technology because of funding problems. There are empty seats in the inner cities so the bulk of these children of Illegals must be enrolling in suburban districts where most of the over crowding is occurring. Where are the studies on how much space and funds are being taken up by the children of Illegals? Illegal Immigration is a major cause of problems in both areas. Children of Illegals sometimes gain better access to quality education and better technological facilities than children trapped in urban ghettos. Some Democrats propose In-State Tuition for Illegals. In-State Tuition for Illegals is wrong while those who are citizens from other states pay thousands of dollars more in tuition costs.

The Bush Administration proposed cutting Medicaid and Food Stamps for working families. These are the families employed by Wal-Mart and in other low paying jobs. I am concerned for people that would have their benefits cut while Illegals receive welfare benefits and draw Social Security. Does Mr. Bush mention this when pitching his Social Security Plan? Is he talking about cutting off their Medicaid or Food Stamps?

Welcome blackvoter...yes, unfortunately we're all being replaced. It will take a unified effort on the part of all Americans to turn this around. We have to vote in legislators that are not deaf. We must get our laws enforced. NOW...

Urban Black Communities and Illegal Immigration

Welcome, Blackvoter. The problem of illegal immigration crosses all racial lines, including Hispanics. If the illegals were blue eyed blondes from Germany, it would make no difference. The problem is illegality, poverty, disease and displacement.

I have always said we should view ourselves as Americans first. It should be our greatest and highest loyalty(under God) on this earth.

Yeah welcome. It is absolutely CRUCIAL that black Americans get involved in solving this problem or we will NEVER solve it. The same species of creep that used to traffic slaves is now importing slaves from the destitute Third World. What's the common thread? They want to pay NOTHING for labor and since they haven't been able to do that in 150 years, they have moved on to the next best thing. The most galling thing is when creeps like Chris Cannon or Gray Davis standing around pretending to be ever so concerned about "racism."

If these creeps were so damn worried about "racism" and helping the "good-hearted people" storming our borders they would PAY THEM A LIVABLE WAGE. They'd pay American blacks a livable wage! Gee let's throw in American Hispanics and a white person or two!

The Black Community Affect by Illegal Immigration

BobC is right. Bleeding hearts don't pay the bills. What we have to look out for is the unholy alliance of corrupt businesses who hire illegals, the Hispanic apologist groups, and weak-kneed politicians who yield to the illegal alien pressure groups.

It is really an "axis of evil" as Pres. Bush might say and it hurts blacks as much if not more than whites. It's gotta be stopped and the only way I can see is to.....................
