Sixteen allegedly illegal immigrants were arrested early Sunday during a party at the North Side Fire Company, 270 Carter Road, in the Ontario County town of Geneva. Two people also were ticketed for selling alcohol without a license.

In addition to the illegal immigrant arrests, Manuel Z. Lopez-Ramirez, 31, and Lorena A. Segura, 30, of both of 191 William St., Geneva, were charged with selling alcoholic beverages without a license, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s officials said men charged $15 to enter the party and women were charged $10. Beer also was being sold at the party, Sheriff’s officials said. Total proceeds exceeded $1,500, Sheriff’s officials said. The money was confiscated as evidence.

The 16 allegedly illegal aliens were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol agents.

Sheriff’s officials said they have responded to numerous disturbances and assault complaints at the fire house in the past few weeks. Sheriff’s officials said fire department officials sometimes rent out the fire hall for parties, but do not participate in the events.
