    ALPINE TOWNSHIP -- A man was in custody after an apparent fatal shooting on Friday evening, the Kent County Sheriff's Department said.

    Authorities believe he shot and killed an individual near Eight Mile Road and Peach Ridge Avenue NW about 7 p.m.

    Authorities said the suspect in the shooting is Spanish speaking, and the language barrier hampered investigators' probe into the incident.

    Neighbors said the shooting was at a migrant labor camp on a farm.

    No other details were available Friday night.

    What the hell is an "apparent" fatal shooting??? You got a guy who died from gunshot wound(s), what's not "apparent" about it? They waiting to see if he wakes up?
