VA: Illegal Alien charged with 3 counts of murder
Man charged with 3 counts of murder in Va. attacks
Published: Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 10:25 a.m. MST By Matthew Barakat, Associated Press
MANASSAS, Va. — A Salvadoran man has been charged with three counts of murder in a series of shootings in a Virginia suburb of Washington, authorities said Friday.
Jose Oswaldo Reyes Alfaro, an illegal immigrant who was ordered deported to El Salvador a decade ago but never left, was charged in the pair of attacks just blocks apart Thursday night that left three people dead and three others injured, Manassas Police Chief Doug Keen said.
The neighborhood has experienced a fair amount of crime and gang activity, but Keen said the killings were not gang-related and Reyes Alfaro had a relationship of some sort with all the victims. Police are still investigating the exact nature of those relationships.
Keen said 56-year-old Brenda Ashcraft and 37-year-old William Ashcraft were killed in the first attack. A 34-year-old woman was injured and remains hospitalized, and a 15-year-old girl was treated and released. In the second attack, Keen said 48-year-old Julio Cesar Ulloa was killed, and a 77-year-old woman suffered head wounds from a large knife. The other victims were all shot.

Man Living Illegally in U.S. Charged in Manassas Deaths

A man from El Salvador wanted for deportation for living in the U.S. illegally was charged Friday with three counts of first-degree murder following two shooting incidents Thursday night in Manassas, Va.
Jose Oswaldo Reyes Alfaro, who police had been searching for since 2002, was taken into police custody Thursday night after the vehicle he was driving was pulled over while police were investigating two shooting scenes on Hood Road and Brent Street.
The first shooting happened at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday on Hood Road. Police said Brenda Ashcraft, 56, died at the scene while William Ashbey Ashcraft, 37, died en route to a local hospital. Two other females, ages 15 and 34, were shot. The teen was treated and released. The other victim is listed in stable condition. All four are family members.
Police said the suspect has a relationship with all of the victims, but would not elaborate on what that relationship was.
Melissa King, the niece and cousin of the two people who died in the first shooting, said Friday morning that her aunt had been a victim of domestic violence from her boyfriend.
"He'd been causing trouble but she was too afraid to call police," King said outside the home of one of the shootings. "They were a good, good family, just full of love and support. This was not drug-related. This was not gang-related ... it was just domestic violence."
King said she has lived in the same neighborhood as her aunt her entire life.
"I know it's a bad neighborhood with crime, but so many people came out last night to offer us support. It was really like one big family," she said. She called her aunt "one of the rocks in our family. She'd give you her last piece of bread, her last dollar."
The second shooting happened at about 8 p.m. about a quarter of a mile away on Brent Street. Police said Julio Cesar Ulloa, 48, was found dead at the scene. A 77-year-old woman was taken to a local hospital in stable condition suffering from knife wounds.

I was in Wal'Mart a few months back and over heard a group of males and females illegal Mexican immigrants discussing how to locate work, and explaining how much they liked and disliked living in America. One or two Mexicans stated they did not like being away from Mexico and missed their families but, the American money is good, so they stay and work in the U.S. so they can send money home to Mexico so their families would have good food and homes. The Mexicans did not know I understand and Speaks English/Spanish, so later I walked near them and said...Hola, Coma Esta, which means hello, how are you in English. They all fled from Wal'Mart after paying for the C.D's they had. That action lets us know that most illegal immigrants thinks most Americans are fools and do not understand what is said when they chat in groups. I would like to learn more about their schemes and plots!!!
