NOGALES, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
Border agents have confirmed the discovery of an unfinished tunnel which had an opening in a cemetery in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents joined a bi-national inspection of a drainage system near the DeConcini Port of Entry after Mexican officials discovered the small opening.

Agents reported the tunnel descended 5 feet down, then north under the international border about 46 feet into the United States.

Agents found digging tools, power cords, a generator and a swamp cooler in the tunnel.
