Wall Sets Off Wave of Indignation in Latin America
WASHINGTON.— The US republican government’s authorization of the construction of a 1,226 km wall along its border with Mexico has generated a wave of indignation and critics both internally and throughout Latin America, reported EFE.
On Thursday, US President George W. Bush signed the so-called law of the wall that authorizes the construction of a double wall in an attempt to stop the entrance of undocumented immigrants.
Harry Reid, the Senate democrat leader, said that “"We can build the tallest fence in the world and it won't fix our broken immigration system. Nor will it strengthen security at our borders.”
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez pointed out that “in Europe, there is a free movement of merchandise and people. This should also be done in America, but the US is not interested and so they raise walls.”
In Bolivia, Movement towards Socialism (MAS) Representative Ivan Canelas called the US posture “racist and discriminatory.”
Guatemalan President Oscar Berger sent a note to Bush to express his concern about the construction of the wall.
Likewise, the government of Ecuador said in a communiqué that migration problems are solved by implementing social and economic policies that generate jobs and social wellbeing.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I find this statement by chavez intriguing to say the least, since he's well aware of the SPP & NAU
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez pointed out that “in Europe, there is a free movement of merchandise and people. This should also be done in America, but the US is not interested and so they raise walls.”

As to his Komrade Hugo, I guess he missed the news that for the first time Netherlands and Germany have more persons leaving the country than coming in. Of course Hugo would like Americans to leave. Europe is beginning to decline. It's over.Unemployment is not working. Deport illegal alien workers now! Here's an idea, impeach Harry Reid, and replace him with Beto from this website. At least Beto isn't clueless!
That's a compliment, Beto, okay? No offense - just pointing out you're a thousand times smarter than Reid
What part of "We don't owe our jobs to India" are you unable to understand, Senator?

jean,
Something got lost in the translation! Even better if they think we are going to put up a wall. Seems like they are a little up set and feeling rejected. Bad neighbors are the perfect people to lock out and ignore!
