Like who? The majority of California that legalized weed? Are they your "low-information public"? Are they your stupid people who don't want to keep wasting money paying cops to ruin the lives of pot smokers by locking them up? The people of California did the right thing, to me, they're the smart ones who voted to pass it. I understand that this changes dramatically the cop beat in California where they lock up American pot smokers while providing sanctuary for the foreign drug cartels selling it, but the people of California are doing a lot of things right: legalizing weed and fighting sanctuary laws are just two of them.
