SARASOTA, Fla. (CBS12) — The Sarasota Sheriff's Office arrested a man who investigators say is a criminal illegal alien who is accused of forcing a 16-year-old girl into a sexual relationship.

The investigation began in January when deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at the girl's work.

Deputies said 32-year-old Noe Ramirez-Lopez assaulted the girl, pressured her to have sex with him and followed her to work. The girl told investigators she didn't report him right away out of fear of her own immigration status as well as her safety.

Detectives arrested Ramirez-Lopez at the Semioile Casino Reservation in Tampa. He's being charged with unlawful sexual activity with certain minors.

According to the sheriff's office, Ramirez-Lopez has been behind bards before. Police in Clearwater arrested him in 2008 for not having a valid driver's license.

A week later, the Lake County Sheriff's Office arrested him. He was deported to Guatemala and banned from the United States, the sheriff's office said.

As a result of the illegal re-entry, Ramirez-Lopez is facing an additional charge of re-entry after deportation. The girl, now 17, is in state custody, according to the sheriff's office.

Unlawful sexual activity? Sounds like rape to me.

As for the girl currently in state custody. As a crime witness, I'm sure she'll receive a U visa.

Having these lowlife disrespectful, forceful males in our society is dead wrong. If we had any real sense of feminism, especially #METOO, THEY SHOULD BE OUTRAGED AND IN THE MEDIA'S FACE EVERYDAY - POLITICIANS TOO WITH THEIR DESIRED AMNESTIES. Amnesty what? Things like this by the millions?

I do not want to give her a Visa...send her back to her country.

Yep, an illegal alien witness or crime victim is eligible for the U visa. I think it's a 4 year visa.

Another Visa loophole that needs to be scrapped and terminated!
