What Happened in Vegas Will Not Stay in Vegas

In the past, the Las Vegas tourist industry enticed visitors with the reassurance: "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."
They weren't thinking of the "Unite to Fight Illegal Immigration Summit" held over Memorial Day weekend. What began in Las Vegas will go back home to 50 states, cities and towns. It will spread to Washington, DC.

From Coast to Coast, American citizens spent their own time and their own dime. They joined fellow Americans who love and cherish their country to join efforts to protect America's sovereignty from the ravages presented by "open borders" mass illegal immigration.

First, hats off to Mark Edwards, founder of the Wake Up America Foundation, for his vision in designing the first Immigration Summit. And a dozen roses each to Patricia Saye, co-founder and Judy Singer, the Wake Up America producer, for their hard work and tireless efforts in making the Summit so successful.

To quote William Herron: "The human mind, Mark Edwards mind is a wondrous thing. And at a time in the history of our country, such as we are experiencing today, nothing could be more important than concerned American citizens of goodwill taking the time to discuss the nation's number one problem - illegal immigration - and to follow through after leaving this meeting with actions offering hope of resolution." There will definitely be resolution.

Every Summit speaker told how illegal alien invaders caused devastation, sorrow and pain to their lives and families. Each one recognizes the dereliction of duty by President George Bush in allowing the disgraceful situation to continue with no effort at all to correct the sloppy immigration law enforcement that led to the deaths of their children. Their speeches were honest, forthright and sincere as well as alarming. Each had his own story to tell, and tell it they did.

The loss of a loved one due to federal dereliction of duty led Barbara March to the podium. Each of us felt her pain in the loss of her son David to a murdering illegal alien who jumped the border and today remains in Mexico. There wasn't a dry eye in the room when she and her husband, John, left the stage. Equally touching were the comments by Peter Gadiel and Joan Molinaro, who each lost a son in the terrorist attacks on September 11.

Nonstop cheers and applause went to Jim Gilchrist and Chris Simcox, founders and organizers of the Minuteman Project. A special tribute to the Minutemen came from newly naturalized US citizen Luca Zanna, who wrote a patriotic tune especially for the Minutemen. Despite listening to many patriotic songs over the years, Luca's song brought chills to many.

With so many police departments following the politically correct "hands off illegal aliens" program, Chief Garret Chamberlain of New Ipswich, NH is a shining star of courage and hope for citizens who want safety in their towns. Everyone who heard the Chief's simple solution to illegal immigration in New Ipswich cheered in appreciation. With all the high-tech police equipment and training around the country, who but a small-town chief would have thought of charging illegal aliens with criminal trespassing? When his neighbor in Hudson, NH decided to do likewise, the illegal alien lobbies panicked ("if this catches on, we've got trouble.").

I wonder if Chief Chamberlain was prepared for the topic of conversation at dinner that night; supporting his candidacy for Congress after he completes his duty as New Ipswich Chief of Police. At only 36 years of age, this young man could be my son. And any mother would be proud to claim him as their own. May the words and courage of this young police chief set the bar for older police chiefs throughout the country.

Longtime friends Barbara Coe, Ezola Foster, and Terry Anderson had power-packed speeches, giving a vision of California that's "coming to a city or town near you." Both described the failure of California's representative government and the resulting violence facing its citizens. In their own way, each told of years and years of nonstop work opposing illegal immigration and how the illegal invasion has affected their lives and families. Their joy at finally seeing the issue gain national attention was unmistakable. It was good to meet Evelyn Miller and Liz DeMarco.

Medical lawyer Dr. Madeline Cosman gave a commentary on illegal aliens and the communicable diseases brought to the US when they enter the US evading health screening. The accompanying Power Point presentation added punch and clarity to the astonishing truth concealed so long from the public by federal health officials.

Dr. Cosman and Frosty Wooldridge both have emphasized the health dangers of the contagious diseases brought by illegal aliens to the US. They're informing American citizens what lies ahead, and it's not a pretty picture. There's no doubt that everyone will take home these disturbing details and question their own public health officials. Wait for the outrage when citizens in each state hear another preview of what's "coming to a city or town near you." In some cases, citizens will learn they've already been unknowingly exposed to these contagious diseases in hospitals, restaurants and schools though contact with illegal aliens.

California Assemblyman Ray Haynes was passionate about his efforts to stop the invasion of illegal aliens. He's leading the fight for the California Border Initiative, and brought signature sheets asking for support and involvement by those attending the Summit. If the Border Initiative is successful in making the ballot and passed by California's voters, the state will have its own police force to both patrol the US-Mexico border as well as to enforce immigration laws within the state.

Representing educational groups and PACs were John Vinson, Michael Cutler, William Gheen and Rick Oltman, who gave clear and concise perspective accounts of the invasion. While the four had different presentations, the message was the same: STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

Like Peter Gadiel, Joan Molinaro and Barbara March, Flash Sharrar found himself fighting the illegal alien invasion after his son experienced George Bush's refusal to enforce US immigration laws. After Flash's son returned from duty in Iraq to be ambushed and robbed at gunpoint by an illegal alien, Flash organized the Yuma Patriots to monitor and report the Border Patrol any signed illegal aliens crossing into the US. A novice to public speaking, Flash grabbed the microphone and very simply told of his love for his country, his wife and seven children. His determination to see America's "open borders" policy abandoned and restoration of its representative government was clear to everyone who heard.

Inspiring as always, D. A. King told of current conditions in "Georgiafornia" and defended our First Amendment with passion and sincerity. He gave details on Operation Spotlight, the local groups organized to identify employers hiring illegal aliens and focus public attention on their despicable and traitorous behavior.

To a largely "golden age" group, seeing youngsters like Joe Turner and Tim Bueler concern for their country was a sight for sore eyes. Team America representative Linda Mueller received applause for her consistent support of local activists.

Rob Lutton told about his Borders Solution Task Force, and many took notes on the valuable tips and education he provided. No one in the audience will forget Terry Graham. Her story of attending an immigration forum sponsored by First Data/Western Union and being brutally assaulted by Julissa Molina Soto, from Mexico, told everyone how serious are our (and America's) opponents. She reminded us of the contributions of the late Sam Francis and Meredith Burke.

Those who attended the Summit shared a common bond: they're activists who are sick and tired of footing the bill for educating, medicating, and incarcerating illegal aliens. Another common topic at the dinner-table revealed activists' dedication: paying from our own pockets to work this issue with little or no help from national organizations. Recent grassroots efforts are highly effective with activists joining to help each other.

Despite obligations of family and jobs, all "pitch in" to help other unpaid volunteers in other cities. None receive federal grants or trust funds from Grandfather. Others are retired and living on fixed incomes, yet find the time and money to save the country they hope to pass to their children and grandchildren. All with no financial help from so-called "allied" organizations in the move to stop the illegal alien invasion.

Terry Anderson led the audience with a standing ovation as he introduced keynote speaker Congressman Tom Tancredo. What I'll remember is the prediction that he'll never chair an important committee or have important legislation bearing his name. It surprised no one when he said those things aren't important to him. It wasn't hard to see what is important: making our nation more secure, and progressing to ending illegal immigration. No one doubted his assurance that "the tide is turning, and we're winning."

If I've neglected to mention anyone, please forgive me and know that you weren't overlooked and won't be forgotten. Renewing old friendships and making new ones. When we team up on future efforts, we'll have a face to match the e-mail and voice on the phone.

Knowing that most federal government officials seem to be in collusion with the illegal alien invaders, everyone who attended knew the need for preparation and energizing themselves to combat The Illegal Alien Invasion. And as William Herron says "with 20 million illegal aliens in our midst, who would deny that we are being invaded?

Although not officially reached, every person at the Summit left with firm resolve that:

We won't tolerate quislings, traitors and spineless sellouts that place illegal aliens and "cheap labor" business interests ahead of American citizens.
We will donate our money to individual candidates, radio stations and organizations that demonstrate resolve and action against the illegal alien invasion.
We will no longer donate our hard-earned money to political parties, organizations and candidates who offer only "lip service" and excuses.
As all the speakers assembled on stage singing "God Bless America," those in the audience were united in the battle cry: "Viva Las Vegas."

I don't have words to express my appreciation for those attending the Unite to Fight convention. It means so much to me that there are so many intelligent dedicated people on the move with saving our nation from this invasion.

I'm especially proud to be a member of Alipac, talking with others on what to do, how to do it...knowing that our action matters.

Thanks to all of you...especially you William.

I am delighted to thing that Chief Chamberlain might run for congress...what a hoot! He'll be so good for us there.
