Man gets 30 years for videotaping himself raping boy

A man living in the U.S. illegally was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in federal prison and a lifetime of supervision for videotaping himself raping a teen boy in Kendall County.
Calling it one of the most egregious cases he's ever seen, U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia gave Reynaldo Duque-Aguirre, 29, the maximum sentence he faced for producing child pornography.
“I don't recall in my 18 years on the bench a four-year reign of terror...,” the judge said.
As part of a plea deal, the Mexican laborer admitted molesting the boy beginning when he was 12. He is now 17.
It is San Antonio Express-News policy not to identify rape victims.
The abuse escalated and Duque-Aguirre videotaped the acts. He threatened to post the videos on the Internet if the boy told anyone.
In a lengthy, emotional statement to the judge, the victim's widowed mother referred to Duque-Aguirre as “trash” who took advantage of a helping hand and forced himself on her son.
“Each living cell hurts me immensely, and perhaps someone with so much evil as Reynaldo has, this may give him pleasure to hear it,” she sobbed. But “I always said if someone hurt my child, I would chase him down with justice.”
The woman told the judge that besides sexually assaulting her son, Duque-Aguirre led her to believe that her son's sudden change in mood was part of going through his teens. She said she scolded her son for his anger, not knowing about the abuse.
A girlfriend of the boy eventually helped bring the abuse to light, and Kendall County authorities began investigating with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which filed the federal child-porn charges.
State charges of aggravated sexual abuse of a child are still pending against Duque-Aguirre, Assistant U.S. Attorney Tracy Thompson told the judge.
When the judge asked Duque-Aguirre if he had anything to say, he replied “No,” surprising the jurist.
Duque-Aguirre's lawyer, assistant federal public defender Clark Adams, said his client was not being arrogant but felt there was nothing an apology would do to reverse the harm he caused.
“A far better power than me will assess a more fitting judgment,” the judge said. “I hope that when he's asked if he has anything to say, it's something other than, ‘No.'”

This is why all little boys and girls need daddies with guns. Child predators make an easy mark of children with unarmed moms and no dads in the picture.
