The Biden administration has forced a top border patrol agent to delete a tweet about a “potential terrorist” apprehended at the U.S. border, with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) claiming the tweet violated agency regulations.

Yuma Sector Chief Patrol Agent Chris Clem wrote in a Dec 20 tweet that agents in the area had “apprehended a potential terrorist who illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico.”

“The 21-year-old migrant from Saudi Arabia is linked to several Yemeni subjects of interest,” he added.

NEW: A tweet posted last week by Border Patrol’s Yuma sector chief about a potential terrorist arrested at the AZ border has been deleted. CBP says it contained “sensitive info” and “violated protocols”. The man was in an EMS jacket belonging to an organization in upstate NY.

CBP Public Affairs Assistant Commissioner Luis Miranda released a statement claiming that the tweet was deleted because “it contained law enforcement sensitive information, violating agency protocols.”

“All individuals encountered at or between U.S. ports of entry are screened and vetted against a broad range of law enforcement and intelligence information to determine if they pose a threat to national security or public safety, consistent with the law,” Miranda said in the statement.

“CBP is continuing to investigate the matter following its standard protocols. This may include referral, if appropriate, to other relevant law enforcement entities for further investigation and a custody determination,” the statement added.

Based on the Biden regime’s lax history on border enforcement, it is more likely that the tweet was deleted to cover up legitimate national security peril caused by open borders than due to agency rule violations.
