    Add a human trafficking charge.

I guess their hoopdie broke down so they snatched another one.

Where is the rest of the story? Were the illegal deported or was "catch & release" put into practice?

This article says they were turned over to ICE but looks like a couple got away.

    Chase ends with immigrant discovery

Web Posted: 08/31/2007 10:09 PM CDT

Ten undocumented immigrants are in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement after Guadalupe County Sheriff Arnold Zwicke became suspicious of a speeding Dodge Durango on Thursday.

Zwicke was on his way to work about 8 a.m., heading east on Interstate 10 near Seguin, when the Durango passed him on the highway.

"The driver looked me over pretty good," Zwicke said. "I ran the plate and it was stolen out of Houston."

Zwicke called for backup, and after a short chase involving several deputies, the Durango headed into some underbrush. The driver and two others ran. Nine others in the Durango, all in the country illegally from Nicaragua and El Salvador, were taken into custody.

The driver, a 16-year-old from Mexico, was caught about a mile away. He and the others taken from the Durango were turned over to ICE.
