MCALLEN--The deportation process is underway for an El Salvadorian mother and her three kids.

Elubia Ordones says her journey to the U.S. was nothing less than a nightmare. She ended up in a stash house with 80 people before making her way to Sacred Heart Church.

"They don't care about anyone," Ordones said. "They would lock us in shacks and would leave us. Sometimes they would go out drinking. When they felt like taking us food they would."

"There was a house in Mexico where the doors were locked in the front and the back. If you didn't pay they would threaten to take you to the Zeta or the Mafia," she added.

The stash house was eventually discovered by law enforcement.

Hidalgo County Precinct Four Constable JR Gaitan says his department has seen as increase in valley stash houses. In the last week, they've responded to four stash houses. One of them was on Friday near La Homa and 107 in Rural Mission. 38 people were found.
