By Tom Morton March 4, 2016 11:31 AM
Federal judges recently sentenced five Mexican nationals for illegal alien crimes, and two people for methamphetamine, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney General’s Office.
Jose Pena-Garcia, 27, Julia Cesar Munoz-Hernandez, 30, Daniel Serrano-Alvarado, 41, Jose Yanez-Salinas, 27, and Jose Luis Cruz-Ramos, 40, were all sentenced for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien.
Pena-Garcia and Munoz-Hernandez were arrested in Gillette. Serrano-Alvarado was arrested in Casper. Yanez-Salinas and Cruz-Ramos were arrested in Jackson.
All were sentenced to time served, plus 10 days. They were ordered to pay $100 special assessments and are subject to deportation upon release from custody.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security investigated these cases.
