    Interview with NM Rancher

Las Cruces, NM radio talk show News NM interviewed southern NM rancher Tom Cooper about the proposed Wilderness legislation from Senator Bingaman (D-NM) and Udall (D-NM) and the impacts of creating a new safe haven for drug smugglers along the border.

For more information on the impacts of federal land designations like wilderness on border security, see www.peopleforwesternheritage.com

They have a long list of great videos on border security and the trash, rape trees, and criminal violence in these areas. A significant factor is the designation of federal lands with various types of legislative "protection", which makes law enforcement activities difficult due to the regulations and restrictions on activity and equipment.

Thanks - and Trojan Horse is a very appropriate title for this. One of the key reasons Arizona is such a focal point for smuggling activity is the federal lands that provide safe havens for criminal activity. Legislation like Wilderness prohibits motorized vehicles and mechanized equipment. Supporters claim Border Patrol can still operate. What they don't say is that they must operate on foot and on horseback. This is equivalent to telling a realtor they can still sell houses, but they won't be allowed to use cell phones, computers, electricity or cars. It is absolutely insane policy.

And when we see people in leadership roles like Bersin supporting this disasterous legislation, we can only assume there is significant political pressure, a significant political agenda, or both.

Combine that with the recent news showing ICE is telling the Border Patrol to basically IGNORE illegals, it is a frightening situation.
