Vid caps of Minuteman encounter with alien
Much ado has been made of the minuteman who came into contact with an alien, and gave him a shirt.
This illiegal alien was given food, the t-shirt (given to him, not simply asked to pose with it), and 20 bucks by the minuteman. In most of the video, as seen in the photos to follow, the illegal was on the opposite side of a fence, and could easily have taken off any time he chose. After the encounter, when border patrol arrived, the illegal shook hands, and gave a hug to, the minuteman, and gave a thumbs up to the videographer.
After this contact, the Minuteman was asked to go home by the MMP, for breaking the strict "no contact" rule, even though most of what is seen is a humantarian act.

Illegals - Wake up American citizens! This is not harmless
I must speak out on the outrageous happenings in our country. As a professional Spanish Interpreter, I have had my fill of the flaunting of our immigration laws. A Latin American woman can illegally enter this country, have a child, and because she has no income, she IMMEDIATELY qualifies for emergency medicaire which pays her entire hospital bill & delivery costs 100%. This is not an isolated incidence in my state. It is a national reality. These women often come over during the last months, meaning they have had no prenatal care, causing quite the dilemna and frustration on the part of the medical providers. They are often confronted with complications which could have easily been prevented. We then subsidize these illegal parents for years. Doesn't anyone else have a problem with this? The stories I hear would curl your toes. I talked to a woman the other day who was in the hospital after giving birth. Her question for the hospital personnel preparing the birth certificate was, "can I use my real name? I used my cousin's name and identification to enter the country illegally. Gee, I'd really rather use my true name." The hospital worker inadvertently gasped at the fact that this woman so blazenly committed fraud with no guilt whatsoever. A federally funded program with a budget of 2 billion dollars annually, gives free medical, dental, psychological, housing, and medication assistance, to illegal immigrants with a life threatening disease. The only requirement for the services is that you be sick. You are asked your immigration status, but frankly, I don't know why. Because it makes no difference. And in my state, we are cutting the availability of medical assistance for residents, because of our budget situation. Guess what, hundreds of thousands of those dollars are being given to illegal immigrants. I've had about enough. And I understand the frustration and the reason that the MinuteMen have banded together. If I could, I would join them. But I'm too busy being a single mother without child support who can't even afford dental care. Meanwhile, the people I talk to all day long are getting a free ride. ENOUGH IS TRULY ENOUGH

Welcome barcelonaisa. Yes, enough TRULY is enough! You wrote some very fine comments about the problems that are ahead of us. It certainly is a VERY unfair situation, when people come here, uninvited, come here in a totally illegal and fraudulent manner, then are GIVEN priority in the freebie giveaways of taxpayer funded programs! :evil: ! :evil: !
80-90% of the people of this country are simply furious about this when they are made aware of the problems! AND that is the crux of the problem. Too many good Americans are simply asleap at the wheel, or flying on autopilot. They are more interested in watching America Idol, taking the kids to soccer practice, or heading down to the Elk's Club for social hour, instead of worrying about this country being invaded, and sucked dry. AND WHY SHOULD THEY BEHAVE/BELIEVE ANY OTHER WAY??? It is the governments job of course to deal with issues such as this, and doing the things listed above is what "normal" citizens SHOULD be doing. However, we are NOW not living in a "normal" society. Our government has broken down on this issue, and is doing things that ARE NOT in the best interests of the people. However, the "Joe Average" citizen is still being Joe Average, and needs to be woken up to these things the government is doing.
That is where WE come in. Yes, we CAN raise a stink with the government, continually sending them emails, faxes, letters, postcards, phone calls, and personal visits. THIS DOES do good towards trying to change thier direction. However, the people on this site are limited in number. NUMBERS is one thing that pollies DO pay attention to. The more "Joe Averages" we can wake up, inform them what is happening, and recruit them into our ranks, the more powerful we can become. WE DO have the people on our side, it is just that almost ALL people are uninformed to the big picture. WE MUST CHANGE THIS, or else the country will simply continue to spiral into the toilet. Keep in mind WHEN you talk with others, in many places, the numbers of illegal aliens HAS reached a "critical mass". That means that there are a majority of them here already. We see this in CA. Note, many of them are young, and unable to (legally) vote, but many will vote, and they push hard EVERY year for expanding their voting "rights".
The plan I would love to see happen, is a stepped plan.
1. Seal the borders (possibly no immigration AT ALL for a while, until certain issues are addressed.) This will require more BP, adn may require a wall/fence to be constructed. Since we already have a large labor force which "will do the job no American will do", finding labor should be an easy thing.
2. Remove entitlement eligibility to illegal aliens. Procecute bureaucrap's who break the law and provide these illegal entitlements.
3. Procecute businesses who use the unfair trade practice of hiring illegal aliens. Use RICO or some similar method which actually has TEETH.
4. Execute "Operation Wetback 2", which is internal sweeps for illegal aliens in the inner US. NOTE allow steps 1, 2, 3 to work for a while, as many illegals WILL leave on their own, once the freebies are gone, which is a tremendous cost savings, over having to deport them.
5. Create VERY stiff penalties (like Joe Arpaios "desert tent" prison Maricopa County AZ), for people who have been deported, which try to re-enter the US. Hard labor. News of this will spread quickly, and deportee reentry WILL cease.
6. Finally, after all of that, THEN readdress the levels of legal immigration. It is highly likely that the number of legal immigrants will need to be made higher, and entry rules "might" need to be addressed. However step 6 will NOT be done, until this invasion of illegals has been fully addressed.
There might be steps I have missed, which will need added, such as procecution of sympathizers (ACLU, MALDEF, La Raza) under RICO.

Thanks for your reply! I shared my views with the editors of some on-line "newspapers" and received a scathing reply. It is so over the top, that I would like to share it. It is in quotes - I have not changed anything about this person's letter, but for a small portion that had nothing to do with my comments. Remember, I wrote the exact same thing that is posted on this site. Hmmm. Two very polarized viewpoints. Here goes... hold onto your hats

Well, I guess that sums up how he feels. Here is my dilemna. If I own a home and property, then I would feel it my duty and responsibility to decide who comes inside and when. If I love my children, I will not turn a blind eye when someone decides to break in my back door in the middle of the night to steel my food and belongings. I don't care what their motive was. That would be absolutely irresponsible, dangerous, and insane. Such person would be said to have committed a HOME INVASION and ROBBERY. Why aren't the actions of people illegally entering our country characterized in the same manner?
Yet, that is what this man proposes. That we not have "doors & windows" on our home and property. That we not care who comes in or what they steal. And excuse me, but receiving services and monies for services that you are not entitled to is STEALING. You cannot dress it up and make it something it is not.
I feel sorry for this man's perspective. I imagine he is an avid supporter of the ACLU too. Let's just get rid of any standard of morality or responsibility.
In closing, I think his letter speaks quite clearly for itself. He uses words like vile, disgusting, shameful, and venomous. Well, right back at you Brian.

It might actually take someone (to at least threaten) to come over to Brians home (in the middle of the night), to kick his door down, to walk into the kitchen and eat, up to the bathroom to use it and not clean up, and then to kick in his bedroom door (since I am sure he will be cowering under his bed), and to DEMAND that he provide lodging, food, spending money, that he fix this persons teeth and make sure his health is covered, and to help educate his kids, and to make more room, so that the rest of his family (village) will have a place to stay also.
It might take something that drastic to bang an idiot like Brian in the head and "allow" him to wake up and see just what is happening.
I truely think these people simple CAN NOT hear the word illegal. They simply feel when we make these claims about illegal aliens, we are talking about ALL immigration. Far from it!! We are not talking about immigration AT ALL. Illegal aliens ARE NOT immigrants. They are tresspassing invaders, they are NOT immigrants, and MUST be called that whenever these OBL idiots shoot back replies about need for immigration.
