Thread: Just 53% Say Capitalism Better Than Socialism

Personally,I think it's time to stop bringing poor and rich in. We have more people than we can sustain due to overpopulation. We need to do as Roy Beck suggests and return our immigration numbers back to the 1970 levels. Then we need to deport all illegal aliens with their families intact, no child left behind, then secure the borders so this travesty never happens again, then we need to protect our trade, pass the FairTax, drill baby drill, rebuild our economy, pay off our national and personal debts, rebuild American wealth for our citizens, businesses and our posterity, and then in 20 years re-evaluate and see how we're doing.

Then if it looks like we need more people well, then, increase the legal immigration numbers some at that time if the situation truly warrants it and we have the natural resources such as food, water, land and renewable energy to support additional foreign population in the United States.

To solve hunger in other countries requires teaching them about birth control and family planning and showing them how to build and protect a viable economy within their own countries that supports their population.

I think that the poll should describe what Democrary, Socialism and Communism is and then poll people about their preferences.

It is easy for people that have lived in a Democracy to talk about Socialism but another thing to live under it.

Interestingly the people that support Socialism seem to be the poor because everyone gives to them and/or the very rich, because they financially profit as they determine where all the people’s money will go and whoever controls the money controls the people.

Some examples of Socialism that turns into Communism: If you go to college and work your tail off to become a medical doctor, and you work 14 hours a day, you will make the same amount of money as an illegal that sits home and collects welfare. But, you still have to pay back student loans. What is the incentive to better yourself?

Democracy is not a perfect system either; we have seen how corruption and greed can over turn it. We aren't suffering because Democracy doesn't work, we are suffering because the elites found and abused the loop holes in the system.

An aside, I had to laugh ( in a sad way) at some of the stupid women that were praising and applauding a Middle Eastern dictator that came to speak at a liberal idiot college in NYC about a year ago. These same people literally complained and attempted physical harm to a representative of one of the Border groups. Ironically, if these very same stupid college women lived in this dictator’s country, they would be forced to wear a full burka, and they would not even been allowed to go to college. They would be in arranged marriages and their husbands would have complete control over them and he could even kill them with no legal consequence if he felt like it. In fact, the government I am referring to, actually promotes teaching men how to hit their wives without messing up her face. The husband can divorce his wife by saying “I divorce theeâ€

I remember talking about that in school. Russia I think, where physicians and such were not viewed as anything better or worth more than the garbage collector. Back then I agreed because I don't think a person is better or worse dependant on what they do. I cringe at times to think some people get paid millions for basically nothing while others bust their humps for crumbs. All are needed and necessary for a country or community to survive. The problem was just money being the deciding factor of who's better and who's worse.....and watching some like movie stars be addicts and drunks and criminals and getting paid massive amounts of money while a good honest person wasn't, and if they did mess up, they were pretty much messed up for good. Or hows come a government official can get such a powerful job, making decisions affecting millions of lives, with a criminal record, but the average Joe is doomed to low level earnings because his mistake follows him forever. I still think that way I guess for alot of things. But that is my liberal segment shining, I figure if there's standards, it should apply to everyone, and what you do or how much money you have shouldn't give you an edge others don't have. Maybe liberal isn't the right word either...it's just what they said I was. I remember them taking kids and then deciding who would get an education and who wouldn't. Who was worth promoting and who wasn't as a child....depending on what your natural talents were. It does I suppose help some, but I'm sure it killed alot of potential of others. I just remember one olympic star back then....taken from her family and barely allowed to see them.....but pushed to extreems to perform or else her family would pay. That kills the good as well. I can't remember if she defected or not.....but sure wouldn't blame her.

I just know this country wouldn't have come to existance if those other things worked. We didn't develope because everything was set up and ready and we waltzed in and made millions. People came here with no guarentees and nothing to protect them.....anything was better than where they came from and fought like heck to never go back to that.

Wasn't there some president that said capitalism doesn't work without a moral center? Without morals you create laws. I can't think of too many honest business owners who would sell their work force to poverty while they collect more money than could ever spend.
