    A rather sweeping opinion was recently expressed in the Netherlands regarding a failed government policy:

    Would appear open boarders aern't really working anywhere, England is having problems too. What a good plan.

    (IMHO) - The crux of the problem is that those with disproportionate influence on public legislation are always quick to assert the [presumed] benefits of economic 'integration', without clearly thinking through the cultural or social implications of masses of vastly different people being forced to live in near proximity with one another.

    The economist's theoretical models may show that economic globalism has benefits (first and foremost, for the prime actors, not necessarily for the average citizen or worker - far removed from the main proponents...), but they fail to give proper attention or forethought to the implications of mass migrations of people who may end up living as disparate communities in given local area or country.
