Congress is working toward passage of a new round of immigration reforms. What do you think the top immigration reform priority should be?
Choice Votes Percentage of 12362 Votes
    Tighten border security. 2187 18%
Deport everyone who lives and works in the country illegally. 5643 46%
Toughen penalties for employers who hire undocumented workers. 1786 14%
Offer a program for willing workers and employers. 2746 22%
    Thank you for participating

I voted! It was a tough choice between questions 1-3. They are all important. Just wish they would have lumped these three questions into one. Question No. 4 is out - the majority don't want nor need any type of amnesty/guest worker program.
People who take issue with control of population do not understand that if it is not done in a graceful way, nature will do it in a brutal fashion - Henry Kendall

These polls drive me crazy. I studied polling in college so I know how they are supposed to be designed.

Most of these media polls seem to be written by college interns with no background in polling.

    Thanks all for participating!!!

voted. so far 48% are for deportation

Earlier this month, Observer Washington correspondent Tim Funk found that all four senators from the Carolinas favor the use of foreign-born workers to fill jobs that Americans don't want. But they don't agree on the details of a "guest-worker" program.
sounds like someone needs voted out

It seems many local stations and papers are running a similar poll this past couple weeks since the mobs started wandering around the streets waving foreign flags.

I am glad to see that this poll added the word "priority."

I think the borders need to be secured first.

The McPain-Kennedy Act is going to be too big a temtation for them not to drag in all of their relatives at once to get into the handout line. I would imagine that three or four thousand rather than just one thosand illegals crossed the border last night with the news media acting like this is a done deal!

The illegals got stirred up because the media made it sound like HR 4437 was a done deal.

Neither one is passed into law yet. The media should either tell the whole story or none at all if you ask me.

I would vote for 1, 2, and 3--Americans will work if employers didnt sneak around the law by hiring illegals to work cheap
