Poll ~ High Immigration a Negative Impact on Health Care

Poll Reveals Americans Believe High Immigration has had a Negative Impact on Health Care

    Wednesday, September 16, 2009, 1:55 PM EDT

Deal Amendment ECR_001 A recent survey conducted by the American Council for Immigration Reform reveals that 78 percent of Americans believe that high immigration numbers have had a negative impact on the cost and quality of the nation's health care system.

The poll also revealed that the feelings are shared by the majority of Democrats and Republicans alike. While 89 percent of Republicans believe immigration has had a negative impact on health care quality and costs, 69 percent of Democrats also have the same opinion.

Other key findings from the poll are:

73% of likely voters agreed that hospitals should be allowed to inquire and collect data about the immigration status of those seeking Emergency Room care
77% believed that providing health insurance to illegal immigrants will just encourage more illegal immigration.
83% of likely voters were very or somewhat concerned that the United States will add 135 million people to its population in the next 40 years
78% of likely voters were opposed to legalizing the status of the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S.
A separate survey conducted by Pulse Opinion Research revealed that the majority of likely voters who classify themselves as liberals or progressives oppose benefits to illegal aliens in any health care reform legislation. The poll found:

53% oppose providing healthcare to undocumented aliens
46% felt that current proposals would likely provide coverage to illegal immigrants
48% felt that providing healthcare to undocumented immigrants would likely lead to increased healthcare costs.

    Most Dems are now Facist.

The difference between the Rep and Dem party, all the "no's" that would allow the illegals to health care via our tax dollars are Dems. Not one Rep voted in favor of illegals getting "'fee" health care. We must keep it in mind when we go to the polls.

I agree in general that the Dems. Elitist Politicians and Leadership(?) are Pro-ILLEGAL but 5 Dems. did vote YES and the SAVE Act was introduced by a Dem., this is not a partisan issue. There are several friends that I agree little with in Politics but we all agree on the ILLEGAL and Anchor Baby issues.
