[Watch] Chuck Hagel Testifies – Don’t Look At Me, Obama Made Bergdahl Decision

Posted on 11 June, 2014 by Rick Wells

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, in testimony before the House Armed Services Committee, offers up a defense of a more personal nature.

He gets directly to the point in his opening statement that he is not taking the fall for this one. He’s going to the safety of the sidelines as much as he can. This is Obama’s baby.
He dresses it up with talk of best interest of the United States, which makes it look and sound better, but there is no mistaking what was going on. He wants to make it perfectly clear that he supported the idea but the bigger fish signed off on it.
He needed to get that hook out of his mouth right away, as responsibility for the call had been earlier pointed in his direction, as the video below shows.
