Dianne Feinstein is out in full force to take your guns again. Not moments during the LAX shooting this Friday and supposedly not knowing anything about it, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)was already introducing legislation to ban guns once again. Sunday on meet the press, she threw a royal hissy fit saying that Gun Groups have “a hammer lock on Congress”.

She came on to meet the press in her typical gun grabber fashion. She wasted no time before she started advocating gun control. She quoted the AR-15, that was at the scene and still unknown if it was fired (not a shotgun or a hand gun which the perpetrator used at point blank range), as the weapon that did the damage calling it an MP-15.

The weapon was a .223 MP-15, where the MP stands for military and police,” Feinstein said. “Clearly designed not for general consumption, but through practice now for general consumption—same gun that was used at Aurora.”

We are sorry to tell Ms. Feinstein and interrupt her rant to bring her a fact. These weapons were AR-15s. While very similar in design, the civilian version does not have an automatic or three round burst on the selector. After the California incident a limited number of MP-15 class weapons were made for police. They are not available to the public.

Then again, that was not the only weapon used in Aurora. According to the New York Times most of the damage and killing in Aurora came from a .40 caliber pistol and a 12 gauge pump shot gun. Therefore it would be similar weapons that was used at LAX. This makes it even more suspicious in lite of the fact that moments after Dianne Feinstein was pushing legislation. The fact is she is partially correct, just not the weapon she is forcing being used as the main one used.

From all the reports at LAX, she is partially correct. The weapon that was used to kill the TSA officer was a 12 gauge pump shot gun at point blank range. The perpetrator also had a pistol on him. It is unknown if the AR-15 was even fired. It appears in a picture with an officer. It is not identified as an officer or the perpetrator’s weapon until later on.

Despite the facts Senator Feistein makes sure that she says that she is trying to make sure the gun ban goes back through. Also, she says that Gun Groups have a “Hammer Lock” on Congress is why she can’t get it done.
To finish it off, she ends with a statement she already knows the answer to. She says it would be interesting to find out if the gun was bought in California and if it was illegal or not. She knows the answer. They have been illegal in California since 2000 unless you already owned them. It is a desperate attempt to pin the purchase outside the state.
