“Transgender” Is the New Magic Word for Gaining Special Privileges – Like Access to Girls Locker Room

You’re a guy who feels like he’s a girl? Welcome to the girls’ bathroom. You’re a male student who identifies as a female? Go ahead, use the girls changing area.
It really started in California (where else?) with a 2014 law to allow transgender youth to use whatever bathroom and participate on whichever sports team they believe matches their gender identity. Claim you’re really a girl trapped in a boy’s body, and voila! Self-perception and all.
Massachusetts, Connecticut, Washington and Colorado have adopted policies designed to protect transgender students, but California became the first state with a statewide law.
But now Kentucky is jumping on the “transgender” bandwagon. According to the Daily Caller:
A high school in Louisville is allowing a male freshman student to use changing areas in a girls locker room and one of two girls bathrooms because the student wants to be a girl.
The transgender student attends Atherton High School … The unidentified student was born male and is, by all accounts, still male. However, because he identifies himself as a female, he asked for and received permission from Thomas Aberli, Atherton High’s principal, to use a bathroom and a locker room marked for girls at the school.
Understandably, youngsters with genuine gender identity issues can go through psychological pain and personal confusion. But it’s also understandable that students and their parents can be quite upset because a guy who “wants to be a girl” can freely use facilities designated for girls who really are girls and happy to be so.

Would you say there’s a chance for, oh, SHENANIGANS here?
