Senators Reach Agreement on Gun Control, Including Red Flag Laws to Take Guns from Law-Abiding Americans – Here Are the 10 Republicans Who Joined the Dems

A group of bipartisan senators on Sunday reached an agreement on principle for gun legislation which includes ‘red flag’ laws.
10 Republicans joined the Democrats and bowed to their demands.

“The group on the release includes Republican Sens. John Cornyn of Texas, Thom Tillis and Richard Burr of North Carolina, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Rob Portman of Ohio, Mitt Romney of Utah and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.” – CNN reported.
The actual legislation has not been written yet.

CNN reported:

A bipartisan group of senators announced an agreement on principle for gun safety legislation Sunday, which includes “needed mental health resources, improves school safety and support for students, and helps ensure dangerous criminals and those who are adjudicated as mentally ill can’t purchase weapons,” they said in a statement.

The proposal includes support for state crisis intervention orders, funding for school safety resources, an enhanced review process for buyers under the age of 21 and penalties for straw purchasing.
Critically, the legislation includes a so-called red flag provision, with the government providing “resources to states and tribes to create and administer laws that help ensure deadly weapons are kept out of the hands of individuals whom a court has determined to be a significant danger to themselves or others,” according to the release. The proposal would also include “major investments to increase access to mental health and suicide prevention programs; and other support services available in the community, including crisis and trauma intervention and recovery.”
Additionally, the legislation would provide resources “to expand mental health and supportive services in schools, including: early identification and intervention programs and school based mental health and wrap-around services.”

Last week the House of Representatives approved sweeping gun control legislation that bans high-capacity magazines and raises the age to purchase an ‘assault rifle’ to 21.
The House passed the gun legislation 223-204 – 5 Republicans voted “yea” – 2 Democrats voted “nay.”

Back in September 2019, Rep. Ken Buck reported on the real intent of the Democrat’s red flag laws.
Rep. Buck said Democrats want to use the laws to take guns from rural Americans but that Democrats voted down his amendment to include gang members in the legislation.
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee rejected an amendment that would have red-flagged anyone who law enforcement lists as a gang member. According to JPFO.org 80% of gun homicides are committed by gang members.
The Red Flag Laws by Democrats are not meant to stop crime. They are only meant to take guns from legal gun owners.

Oops! Patriot Front Member Was Arrested in Idaho Carrying Megaphone Marked with “FBI” On It

On Saturday 31 members of the Patriot Front group, an alleged white supremacist group, were arrested in Idaho on the way to a protest.
They were traveling to a gay pride event with shields in the back of a Uhaul.

Kristinn Taylor reported on the Patriot Front arrests earlier tonight.

Following the arrests today a local police officer admitted that they knew about the planned protests because the Patriot Front was infiltrated by law enforcement.

It appears that one of them men arrested was carrying a megaphone marked “FBI.”

One TGP reader says the megaphone reads “Abolish FBI.”
We do not know why this Patriot Front member was carrying this megaphone. We look forward to the FBI’s response.
Let’s hope the megaphone is returned to the feds when he’s done. The FBI may need it for their next rally.
