Sen. John McCain to miss vote on GOP tax bill
Report: Sen. John McCain to miss vote on GOP tax bill

Senate Armed Services Chairman John McCain, R-Ariz., arrives for votes on Capitol Hill in Washington, Monday evening, Nov. 27, 2017. WASHINGTON (SBG) — Sen. John McCain will be absent from the hill for the upcoming vote on his party's tax reform bill, CBS reported.
The Arizona Republican headed home Sunday to spend the holidays with family; and may not return to Washington at all, according to the report.
McCain, who was diagnosed with brain cancer earlier in the year, has spent the last several days recovering from the side effects of his treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.
His missing the vote will make a razor-thin margin even narrower as Republicans rush to pass the tax reform measure ahead of the holidays.
Though his family has said publicly that the 81-year-old is "doing well," others report McCain's health is deteriorating rapidly.

If McCain cared he'd stay at Walter Reid until the vote. It's not like it's that far away from Washington DC. Plus I'm sure he'd get the best of care there.

It's hard to say but I don't think he feels well and just wants to go home. It's such a long trip I don't think he'll be back to DC for the vote. Hopefully they've got the 50 with Pence or 51 with Cochran so McCain won't have to come back.

Paul Nehlan is in Wisconsin who ran against Ryan for House of Representatives.
Give it up to some Republican in Arizona.

McCain's prognosis is not good. He needs to resign his position so Arizona's Gov. Doug Ducey can place someone physically and mentally capable to represent McCain's constituents.
