Airline Crew That Flew Second Nurse With Ebola Put on Paid Leave
Ohio health officials aren’t sure how many people came into contact with Vinson as she visited family in the Akron area days before being diagnosed with the disease.

Six Frontier Airline employees have been put on paid leave as a precaution after they worked on the plane that flew with the second Dallas hospital nurse the day before she tested positive for Ebola.
Reuters reported that two pilots and four flight attendants will be on leave for 21 days “out of an abundance of caution.” The second nurse to be diagnosed with Ebola after caring for Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian man who died at Texas Presbyterian Hospital Dallas last week from the disease, flew on Frontier Airlines flight 1143 from Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Monday evening.

The airline has taken the specific aircraft involved out of service for now as well.
There were 132 people on that flight, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is working to track them down.
The nurse was later identified as 29-year-old Amber Vinson, who was in Ohio to plan her wedding and visit with family. She was admitted into the hospital Tuesday and put into isolation showing she had a low-grade fever. Test results afterward confirmed she had Ebola virus disease.
Vinson was transferred from Texas to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Wednesday for further care. The Texas hospital continues to care for another nurse who tested positive for Ebola Sunday.
