Conservative talker Mark Levin questions Trump's Britt endorsement – 'What are you going to do, Alabama?'

Not all of former President Donald Trump's allies were pleased with his decision to endorse former Business Council of Alabama President and CEO Katie Britt last week.

Among those immediately expressing his disappointment was conservative talker and Fox News host Mark Levin.

Levin took to social media and described Trump's decision as a "gut punch."
This is a gut punch. Very disappointing. Britt is a McConnell-supported RINO praised by the head of the Alabama Democrat Party. I hope Mo can pull it off. Lord knows we need his conservative voice and vote in the Senate.https://t.co/tBHxsg2nma

On his Monday broadcast, Levin reminded listeners of his Brooks endorsement and urged others who had endorsed him to stick with him despite Trump's decision.

"I want to reiterate my strong endorsement, it's called loyalty of Mo Brooks for Senate in Alabama," Levin said. "You know it's an amazing thing. Some other people have endorsed him. I said to some of these people, you need to bring him on, interview him and talk to him. But they're afraid. They won't do it. Why? Can't have an honest disagreement with President Trump? Mo Brooks will be a fantastic senator."

Levin criticized Brooks' opponent Katie Britt for reported ties to U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and other so-called Never Trump establishment Republicans.

"These sound like constitutional conservatives to you, ladies and gentlemen?" Levin said. "This sound like MAGA to you? You think Mo Brooks would have this kind of support?"

"What are you going to do, Alabama?" Levin added. "What are you going to do? Are you going to back Britt, who is backed by McConnell and the former president, which really makes no sense? Or are you going to back a long-time constitutional conservative? I know Britt spent a lot of money to try and smear Brooks. That's what leftists with left-wing mentalities do."
