EL PASO - An El Paso man, who was allegedly a Barrio Azteca member, was found guilty of murder Friday.
David Fonseca, 26, was found guilty of stabbing Raul Esquivel, 29, to death during a fight outside an East Side nightclub in June, 2005, said defense lawyers Louis Lopez and Michael Blake.

Fonseca was also found guilty on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for stabbing Jorge Montoya and Edgar Christobal during the incident.

Lopez said Saturday the jury started the deliberation Friday around 6:30 p.m. and after two hours they found Fonseca guilty of killing Esquivel. The deliberation came after the trial for Fonseca was delayed last week to give his lawyers time to prepare a defense for a new document that indicates the alleged Barrio Azteca gang had given a "green light" for the victim's murder.

Fonseca is expected to appear at the 171st District Court Wednesday morning for sentencing.
