Subject: Another Way to Exclude God from our Lives....

This is a really good opportunity to let the government know what we think of ....

    ..........excluding God from our lives.

Don't use it. If given the coin at the bank, ask for paper and also at stores.

This new coin came out this month

The U.S. Mint hopes the redesigned $1 coin will win acceptance with consumers.

It does not have In God We Trust on it. Another way of leaving God out.

Send this on and let consumers decide if it will win acceptance or not.

Lets just keep spending our paper money forget the new coin

Today Fox news talked about it, apparently it was a mistake in the striking process, now collectors are going after the mistake coins, production has been stopped and the coins will be made correctly.

I think that they are full of it. I think they found out that Americans aren't too happy about the new design and trying to make up for it. Or...they just did that to stir up some sales, which is probably closer to the truth. Funny how they always make an error. Hmmmm...

A mistake?!?!?!? How stupid do they think we are? It's not as if some typist forgot to key in some info. The artist had to design the coin. The design had to be approved. The mold for the coin had to be made. The mold had to be approved. Proofs were struck and they had to be approved. If this was a mistake, everyone involved in the design and minting process should be fired for incompetence.

My son, a coin collector heard it on the news and went to the U.S. Mint sites press release area. There it said that about 300 million coins had been minted when it was discovered that an unknown amount of them had errors omitting "In God We Trust" from them. They stopped production and were looking into the problem, while they stated they understood the importance to Americans that "In God We Trust" be included on all coins and bills.

My son (13) surmised that it may have been done as a way to generate "mistake" coins which fetch a huge price in the collectors market? Who knows.
