RUSH: "Study...." This from Mother Jones. "Global Warming Will Cause 180,000 More Rapes by 2099." I didn't even bother reading the story. It is just an indication of the total looniness. The problem is that this total looniness is dominating everywhere. It's just permeating every strata of our culture and society. "Controversial new research predicts that over the coming century, rising temperatures will result in more violent crime."

That doesn't even count the number of rapes committed by Darren Sharper and men on Super Bowl Sunday. Competing headline: "US, UK Scientists Say That Cutting All CO2 Emissions Would Not Stop Global Warming," which is a good thing, because it's not about curbing global warming. It's not about climate change. That's just the vehicle. All this is, is to promote statism and Big Government. In fact, Patrick Moore, one of the co-founders of Greenpeace...

Can I prove to you that there is no news? Can I prove to you that journalism today is not news? I want you to go grab sound bite number five, just to illustrate that the media does not do news. Patrick Moore is one of the co-founders of Greenpeace. He has left the organization. He is nowhere to be found. He has totally abandoned it. He is saying that it is nothing more than a religious cult and that it isn't about global warming in any sense of the word.
He's been saying this for three days, and it has not been reported. Here you have a major, worldwide movement based on man-made activity causing destruction of the planet, and the co-founder of the group which got this whole ball rolling says, "Nope, it never was true, it isn't true now -- and, furthermore, it's nothing more than a religious cult," and they do not cover it.
This is news. This is huge news, that somebody is essentially admitting that the whole thing is a fraud. The founder of the movement is admitting it's a fraud, and there's nothing but crickets. Mr. Moore did appear on Fox News last night. He was on with Hannity, and he was asked, "Okay, then what's driving the agenda?"

MOORE: It is a powerful convergence of interests among a very large number of elites, including: Politicians, who want to make it seem as though they're saving the world; environmentalists, who want to raise money and get control over very large issues like our entire energy policy; media, for sensationalism; universities and professors for grants. You can't hardly get a science grant these days without saying it has something to do with climate change. It is a kind of nasty combination of extreme political ideology and a religious cult all rolled into one.

RUSH: It isn't true. It is a total hoax. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, is looked at as a traitor now. You would think if media, if journalism were actually about reporting the news (and if it even pretended to be objective, as they have often claimed) this would at least be news. Even if it was news they wanted to tee up and bring in people that disagreed with the guy and knock it out of the park, but they don't even do that. They just ignore it -- and instead, Mother Jones with the story:
"Global Warming Will Cause 180,000 More Rapes by 2099." They're dead serious with this. They're dead serious. You know, the thing about it is you and I read this and we laugh about it. Do you realize how many millions of people eat this up, swallow it, believe it, think that it is true? It's scary. Then The Daily Caller: "US, UK Scientists Say Cutting All CO2 Emissions Would Not Stop Global Warming." Oh, really? Then what is it going to take if it's gonna take more than that?

See, this is the point. They're not saying, "Uh-oh, it's too late! We can't do anything about it. Everybody batten down the hatches." That's not what they're saying. They're saying "We need steps that are even more drastic than reducing all CO2 emissions." What would those steps be? What would the steps that are more drastic than reducing all CO2 emissions, which is impossible because we exhale it.

This is a precursor to the indoctrination of your kids from kindergarten all the way through every level of their education, is my guess, to totally abandon their freedom to totally turn their lives over to governments in order to "save the planet." It's about controlling our lives, which it always has been about that. It never really has been about the science. Let me ask you a question.
You know, our official climatologist here when he has the courage to admit it. (I just threw that in. He does.) Dr. Roy Spencer, University of Alabama at Huntsville. He's well known. He testified before Senate and House committees on this, when they don't cancel him. They usually cancel him when he has some devastating testimony they know is on the way. They just broom him. What would you think would happen if Dr. Spencer called a press conference and said, "You know what?

"I just concluded after some exhaustive research in the past six months -- and I have decided, I have learned, I have discovered -- that I am totally wrong and have been wrong about everything I believe. I, Dr. Spencer, now believe mankind global warming is happening. It is conclusive." Do you think that would make news? (interruption) "That would be all three networks." It would be all over every network! They'd invent networks. They'd get this on Al Jazeera.

This would take whatever news in Ukraine off the media in Ukraine. If a "science denier" went public and announced, "You know what? I'm wrong. It is man-made global warming. Greenpeace is right, the Sierra Club is right, the Democrat Party is right, and we don't have much time," Do you think that would be news? Ho-ho-ho-ho! But a co-founder of Greenpeace says, "Hey, it's just a cult. It's just a bunch of people scamming money.

"It's just a bunch of religious idiots and ideologues and they're out there trying to do everything they can to control other people's lives." Bzz bzz bzz bzz bzz bzz bzz, bzz bzz bzz bzz bzz. By the way, the Mother Jones story, it's not just 180,000 more rapes by 2099. It's 22,000 more murders, too.

RUSH: Owen in Portland, Oregon. Welcome to the EIB Network. Hello.
CALLER: Thank you for taking my call. It's a real honor.
    RUSH: Thank you, sir.
CALLER: You said about a week and a half ago if you could reach out to these young scientists and engineers who reject the theory of global warming, you would love to. You would love to get hold on of their brain full of mush, and I'm one of them. I'm not calling to be cantankerous or be combative. I'm one of those so, I guess, have at me.
RUSH: Well, now I've got 45 seconds.
    CALLER: (laughing) Okay.
RUSH: Snerdley should have put your call up sooner.
CALLER: Well, he's a very nice guy. He's a real nice guy.
RUSH: We can call you back next week if you'll give us your number. We can call you back next week.
CALLER: Okay. I can do that.
RUSH: You are a scientist. You believe in man-made global warming?
CALLER: I accept the theory of global warming. I didn't. I used to not, but I am a geologist. I have advanced degrees.
RUSH: All right. But do you believe that man and his activity and or progress in enhancing the standard of living is causing global warming? Is man damaging the planet by advancing his standard of living?
CALLER: Well, as a result of that, yes. We are putting CO2 into the atmosphere, and that is raising temperatures. Absolutely.
RUSH: But it isn't raising temperatures. Are we destroying the planet though, is the point? Forget raising temperature.
CALLER: It actually is, Rush. That's where you're -- where you're -- where you're wrong.
    RUSH: No.
CALLER: We know the CO2 is man-made.
RUSH: Even the advocates are saying it hasn't warmed in 15 years, despite all of the CO2, and then we've got news today that even if we eliminated the CO2 -- all of it, stopped exhaling -- we wouldn't stop the warming. We're sunk anyway. There's nothing any of us can do.

APG Believers Are The Flat Earthers

February 28, 2014 by Bob Livingston

    PHOTOS.COM

    Consensus is not science.
Supporters of the theory — and a debunked theory it is — of anthropogenic global warming claim that because a group of scientists have proclaimed that it’s happening, that means the science is settled. Evidence refuting the “settled” part of their “science” is irrelevant to them.
For instance, last month PolicyMic.com had this to say, “Despite the presence of a near 100% agreement on man-made global warming in scientific journals, it seems that deniers will always have something to cling to, even if it can’t be found in a scientific journal. The rest of us will just have to sit here and wait for them to catch up.”
And Secretary of State John Kerry, who once proudly proclaimed he voted against something before voting for it and never met an issue — except global warming — upon which he couldn’t equivocate, last week in Jakarta, Indonesia, said: “The science is unequivocal, and those who refuse to believe it are simply burying their heads in the sand. We don’t have time for a meeting anywhere of the Flat Earth Society.”
Psychopathic thieves like Kerry overlook the fact that the theory of a flat Earth remained “settled science” for many years.
Kerry also proclaimed, “We should not allow a tiny minority of shoddy scientists and science and extreme ideologues to compete with scientific facts. Nor should we allow any room for those who think that the costs associated with doing the right thing outweigh the benefits.”
Add another “shoddy” scientist to the mix of “flat Earthers” and “head buriers.” Dr. Patrick Moore, who knows a little more about “science” than John Kerry knows about anything beyond spending his wife’s money — make that a lot more — told a Senate panel: “There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years. Today, we live in an unusually cold period in the history of life on earth and there is no reason to believe that a warmer climate would be anything but beneficial for humans and the majority of other species.”
Moore, the former co-founder of the environmentalist group Greenpeace, reminded Senators that an Ice Age occurred 450 million years ago when CO2 levels were 10 times higher than today.
For people like Kerry and President Barack Obama (who proclaimed global warming a “fact” in his State of the Union speech), the science is “settled” because they see yet another opportunity for a wealth-redistribution scheme and more government power. Since their “theory” doesn’t hold water against the fact that global temperatures have remained steady for almost 20 years, they want to stifle any debate over their theory’s validity.
Scientists and people like Al Gore use much the same tactic but for different reasons. They are in it for the money: Scientists don’t want their Federal grant gravy train to disappear, and Gore doesn’t want to have to give up his speaker fees and “carbon credit” get-rich schemes.
Their sycophantic followers have merely fallen prey to a cult. But it’s one that exists on cognitive dissonance. Moore summed that up in his Senate testimony:
From 1910 to 1940 there was an increase in global average temperature of [0.5 degrees Celsius] over that 30-year period. Then there was a 30-year ‘pause’ until 1970. This was followed by an increase of [0.57 degrees Celsius] during the 30-year period from 1970 to 2000. Since then there has been no increase, perhaps a slight decrease, in average global temperature. This in itself tends to negate the validity of the computer models, as CO2 emissions have continued to accelerate during this time. The increase in temperature between 1910-1940 was virtually identical to the increase between 1970-2000. Yet the IPCC does not attribute the increase from 1910-1940 to ‘human influence.’ They are clear in their belief that human emissions impact only the increase ‘since the mid-20th century.’ Why does the IPCC believe that a virtually identical increase in temperature after 1950 is caused mainly by ‘human influence,’ when it has no explanation for the nearly identical increase from 1910-1940?”
The flat Earthers, head buriers and clingers are those who continue to promote the theory as “settled” despite evidence to the contrary.

Humans are NOT to blame for global warming, says Greenpeace co-founder, as he insists there is ‘no scientific proof’ climate change is manmade

    Friday 28 February 2014

    BY DAVID ICKE

‘There is no scientific proof of man-made global warming and a hotter earth would be ‘beneficial for humans and the majority of other species’, according to a founding member of environmental campaign group Greenpeace.

The assertion was made by Canadian ecologist Patrick Moore, a member of Greenpeace from 1971 to 1986, to U.S senators on Tuesday.

He told The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee: ‘There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years. If there were such a proof it would be written down for all to see. No actual proof, as it is understood in science, exists.’’

Greenpeace Founder On Climate Change Crowd: 'Extreme Political Ideology, A Religious Cult'

    Mike Miller

    On February 28, 2014
    http://mikesright.wordpress.com/

Patrick Moore, a founder of Greenpeace, said this week that he left the group in the mid ’80s when it took a hard turn to left and began adopting positions he could not accept with his scientific background.
One of those positions, according to Moore, who had been part of Greenpeace for 15 years, is “climate change.” During an appearance on “Hannity,” the host asked Moore what was driving the climate change agenda.
“It is a powerful convergence of interests among a very large number of elites, including politicians who want to make it seem as though they are saving the world, environmentalists who want to raise money and get control over very large issues like our entire energy policy, media for sensationalism, universities and professors for grants – you can’t hardly get a science grant these days without saying it has something to do with climate change.
One can only imagine what Moore’s former colleagues — and current climate-change devotees –think about his concise listing of those who have a vested interest in promoting the climate change cause. But he wasn’t finished:
“It is a kind of nasty combination of extreme political ideology and a religious cult all rolled into one. And it’s take over way too much of our thought process and way too much of our priorities. There are millions of children dying every day from preventable vitamin deficiencies and diseases and we’re spending hundreds of billions of dollars on a problem that may not exist.”
Moore’s observations will be dismissed out-of-hand by the left, of course, without a shred of evidence to the contrary being presented. After all, this is one of the cornerstones of liberalism; come to a conclusion, then selectively search for “facts” to back up that conclusion.
