Before anyone starts making arguments about whether I am intending to say conclusively that our current administration is plotting to commit democide, let me begin by clearly stating that I am not making such an accusation, so much so as I am demonstrating what leading researchers in this field have shown to be a statistical correlation between gun control legislation and a government's propensitytowards democide. Also, to be just as clear, I don't believe that the original premise is without the realm of possibility, and certainly should be regarded as such.

I believe that this correlation may be most observable in the case of the Soviet Union, who passed through their gun control legislation in quicker succession then Cambodia, exercised the power afforded them sooner after the legislation being passed, and also, not too surprisingly, or responsible for the greatest number of deaths caused by democide in the 20th century, with totals that I found to range between 20,000,000 to around 45,000,000 for the time period that I will discuss in detail. ¹

Gin control started simply enough in the Soviet Union, with national registration being the first law enacted in April 1918. In October 1918, the government passed legislation for the confiscation of all firearms, to include ammunition and sabres.

In 1920, they established a six-month minimum prison sentence, and in 1925, more harsh penalties were imposed for firearm possession, now with a minimum sentence of 3 months hard labor, and a fine of 300 rubles, or almost half a year's pay for those of modest means. ²

The Soviet democide began in earnest in 1929, and by most accounts I've encountered, lasted until 1953, with University of Hawaii Professor Emeritus Rudolph Rummel dating it as continuing as late as 1987. ² ³

Stalin apparently only passed one law regarding weapons in order to carry out his murderous campaign that resulted in multiple megadeaths. In 1935, a law was passed under Stalin making illegal carrying of a knife punishable by five years in prison and a decree of that same year extending "all penalties, including death, down to twelve-year-old children."

The first phase of mass extinction began with attempts to collectivize farming for greater control over the populace by having greater control over their food supply. After they had control over the food supply, the Soviet government simply starved, by my research, anywhere from 7,000,000 to 10,000,000 people from 1929 to 1939.

Stalin also implemented slave labor camps, where many more were literally worked to death, and of course, many others were subjected to outright murder by violent means. Stalin's successful campaign of genocide against the Kulaks and against dissident Communists served as a model for similar campaigns in China and Cambodia. I will prepare my next article in this series on China, as I've already published an article on Cambodia.4

Once again, I'm not saying that I can predict that our current administration will utilize such tactics, but from what history has shown us of the 20th century of our recorded history, I believe that the trends that we have seen have been disturbing in relation to the means being available for a future administration to engage in a democide against the American people.

We have seen the FDA raiding establishments that sell healthier raw milk, local communities arresting and fining people for gardening and collecting rainwater, so we are already seeing control over food and water, not to mention the fact that the current administration's senior adviser to the FDA Commissioner, Michael Taylor, was the Vice President for Public Policy for Monsanto, who have sued farmers for having Monsanto crops on their field that are the result of cross-pollination, meaning that they are able to drive anyone out of business that isn't doing business with them, so there is our food and water resources becoming centrally controlled.5

Our FEMA camps are already in place and could certainly be used as internment/slave labor camps. And now, we need more gun control. Regardless of whether our current administration has any intentions to use these means for a democide against the American people, we can certainly see that a lot of the groundwork that would be necessary for a future democidal campaign will have been laid, if we allow these kinds of restrictive laws that infringe upon our freedoms to continue taking place...
