    Excuse me, but I'm not seeing the relationship to our independence from Great Britain and the video you provided.

    On July 2nd, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later delegates from the 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson. From 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence from Great Britain.

    LOL

    Really?

    Look at the title to the song. There are two meanings. In the natural world if you make water your enemy, then you will die. Plain and simple.
    The abstract version is that the people of a nation is its life giving water. If the government makes itself an enemy of the people, i.e., water,
    that government will die.

    Side note;
    In the US, slaves used to pass messages to one another through songs while in the field. This communication style is still very helpful today!
