World Government: Impractical, Unnecessary, Insane!
World Government: Impractical, Unnecessary, Insane!
By Giordano Bruno
Neithercorp Press – 05/23/2010
Every culture in history has had innumerable difficulties and imbalances, some of them due to a lack of understanding amongst the populace, and many others due to corruption in government. Human beings have been dragging themselves out of the muck over and over again for centuries. The struggle for a better world, a world that meets the standards of our inherent conscience, has always demanded overwhelming labor, bravery, sacrifice, logic, wisdom, and sometimes even genius. And through it all, it has been those men who sought to be truly free that were able to contribute most to the betterment of the human condition. Not just those who are politically free, but also psychologically free.
For many of us, the need to honor and even surpass the accomplishments of those who came before is absolutely tantamount to our success as a species. However, there are many who see the concept of ‘hard work’ as an anathema, a mental “diseaseâ€All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing. -Edmund Burke

The False Promise of "We will Take Care of You"
Lets face it, man has a habit of seeking the easiest way to do almost everything. Generally, thats not a bad thing. But when it comes to government, its dangerous. If you have ever attended a town hall meeting or a community council meeting, it should be obvious there are a multitude of differing opinions, even at the local level. It is true on a number of issues, we can all agree. It is true on the issues of law, we must have some level of uniformity. However, when it comes to functioning on an everyday level on more issues than anyone can count, we must allow for flexibility of opinion & solution.
This is one of the reasons global government is a fantasy, a utopian concept that can only be accomplished through totalitarian rule. For all of us to follow the same path, we must all agree to give up on innovation, idea's, freedoms, and enjoyment of our lives.
Those calling for global governance or global government (they are not the same thing but are equally dangerous), want such a plan because they expect to be in charge. They expect to be the class that benefits from such a system. They expect money & power, for themselves, while they expect to be able to demand we average folk, do as we are told. Or in short, they expect our obedience.
The financial problems in Greece, were predictable. Greece is a net importer. Germany, who is supposedly providing the Greek bailout (when in fact it is coming from around the world, including America), is a net exporter. In short, Greece's economy spends more than it takes in. Germany's takes in more than it spends. Although, Germany's take in, is not as significant as they want & cannot financially sustain them as other European nations fail financially. Spain, Italy & Portugal are in the same boat with Greece.
In the end, the European Union central currency, the Euro, is bringing down the entire currency & economy over there. If the world joins in a global currency, poorer or poor performing nations, will bring down everyone else. That means, we will not be able to offer help to others as the global system siphons off our national wealth. That is exactly what is happening now. Think about it, America is borrowing money (from China principally), to "GIVE AWAY" to poor nations. In some cases, those poor nations are not as deep in debt as we are! Why would we go deeper in debt, to help those who are not as deep in debt?
Helping others is a good thing. But there are limitations & we are far past saying no to many who have their hand out. One of the real problems is, government does not spend money well. By that I mean, they waste more on who knows what, than ever gets to those who really need help. Its called bureaucracy. I think $0.60 of every dollar gets to help the poor when government is involved. Yet if done by private charity, up to $0.80 of every dollar gets directly to those in need, whether in monetary form or actual assistance articles. Now imagine this on a global scale. Imagine the UN, with its incompetence record, spending our money to help others. So far the Un has been an abysmal failure. On a global government scale, they would become economic & political tyrants who would drive mankind back to the stone ages.
When governments or those who control them say, "we will take care of you", average people should read Ronald Reagan's famous words once again & realize those advocating taking care of us, are just as dangerous. Reagan once said, "the most frightening words in the English language are, 'hello, I am here from the government and I am here to help you"!
In short, run away, fight, but do not believe such words as we will take care of you, as anything but a burden upon you!http://www.alipac.us/
