Bill Maher Unloads On “Woke” Dems After Blue Wave Fails To Materialize

Even though President Trump may be denied a second term depending on how the courts will rule, there is surprisingly little joy among the ranks of the rabid resistance.
The election has been called by the media for Joe Biden while lawsuits over irregularities and outright fraud continue to play out but even if "Orange Man Bad" is vanquished, 2020 will go down as a major disappointment for Democrats.

One thing is for certain and that months of predictions of a Biden landslide that would forever repudiate Trump were badly wrong and that the overly-hyped "blue wave" that would solidify Dem control of the House Of Representatives and flip the Senate were just more lies from a corrupt media.
The loss of House seats despite Speaker Nancy Pelosi's guarantees is particularly galling to HBO's Bill Maher, a man who has often expressed his disdain for the "woke" cancel culture that is now the face of the Democratic party.
During Friday's edition of "Real Time With Bill Maher" the smarmy liberal host unloaded on that party's yoking itself to mentally fragile social justice warrior types whose exploits on Twitter failed to impress the larger electorate.

According to Maher:
"I talked to a guy in the Midwest once who told me this story about the day he went out to get his car in the supermarket parking lot but couldn't back out because a mother and her very young daughter were standing behind his car which was next to their car which had a Hillary bumper sticker on it.
And the little girl was screaming at her mother who was profusely apologizing to the child, and he said to me, "I just cant let people like that take over this country," that's what people vote on, not policy.
Democrats kept saying in the campaign, 'You can't possibly think Trump is preferable to what we're selling,' and many voters keep saying, 'Yes we can.'
In fact, our primary reason voting for him is to create a bulwark against you because your side thinks silence is violence and looting is not.
Because you're the party of chasing speakers off college campuses and making everyone walk on eggshells and replacing 'Let's not see color,' with 'Let's see it always and everywhere' -- formally the position of the Klu Klux Klan. It would be so easy to win elections if we would drop this sh*t."
Maher also brought up the now-notorious post-election House caucus conference call when one Democrat congresswoman, Abigail Spanberger melted down in spectacular fashion.

Via Newsweek, "Dem Congresswoman Says Party Will Be 'Torn Apart' if It Pushes Progressive Platforms: 'Don't Say Socialism Ever Again'":
Rep. Abigail Spanberger, a Democrat, reportedly told colleagues the party would face consequences for supporting progressive platforms during an emotional phone call on Thursday. Election results so far indicate that Spanberger, who campaigned against Republican challenger Nick Freitas this year to represent Virginia's 7th district for another term, has successfully defended her congressional seat, according to the latest Associated Press update. The congresswoman formally declared victory earlier this week, although the AP had not officially called her race late Thursday afternoon.
Journalists privy to the Democratic caucus' afternoon call relayed Spanberger's warnings to less moderate members of the party, encouraging them to minimize advocacy for more liberal ideas and policies.
"Don't say socialism ever again," she said, according to Erica Werner, a congressional reporter at The Washington Post. "If we run this race again, we will get f***ing torn apart again in 2022," Spanberger reportedly added. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reportedly pushed back against the Virginia congresswoman's suggestion, noting that Democrats likely won the U.S. House and, possibly, the presidency this year.
There is no doubt that Pelosi's refusal to reign in the socialism and anti-police rhetoric as well as giving Twitter toddler Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez wide latitude to be the voice of the Democrat caucus badly backfired at the ballot box.
Maher may be a typical Hollywood elitist but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
